Comment:
One of those English Professors who seems to have the impression that literature stopped in the 1970's, which is systemic problem in the department. I can't tell if he is unwilling to adapt or sheerly ignorant. Don't do it.

When I say he gives good feedback, he matches your essay with an essay of his own with comments. He isn't a bad professor, but if you don't like getting deep and taking time with poetry, you probably won't like him. Either way he's a great guy and a really great poet.

One of those professors that you'll either hate or love immediately. There doesn't seem to be a middle ground. Great class to slack off in, pretty much an easy A for me. I won't be taking him again though. He's taught the same FYS for the past four+ years without changing materials.

I am a science major and took my first English class senior year with this man. He is interested and interesting but doesn't hold class discussion too well. He is lovely and has great stories about interactions with Beats.

Nice guy and smart too but doesn't really go beyond his own writing style with advice. Arrogant at times and though easy, doesn't really help improve one's writing. Also shows a lot of favouritism.

FANTASTIC professor. I've only had one class with him so far, but I will be taking more from him. He can at first seem a little arrogant and imposing, but he is amazing if you give him the chance to help you improve your writing. Take him if at all possible.

He was my IS professor, and even though he always has too much going on and is running behind, he is an amazing writer who knows what it takes to make a good writer.

He's a little self absorbed and arrogant--you can learn from him, but he seems far more interested in his own writing than in teaching, and never seems interested in helping students outside of class.

this professor plays favorites big time. good prof in class, with a sense of openness to ideas, but if you try to approach him one on one out of class he will seem preoccupied/ doesn't make the time for students

Amazing in his ability. A bit inaccesible. But knows his stuff and is appropriately hard. His lectures/teaching *stays* with you b/c he is passionate and sincere when he has time. Sometimes overbusy - but that is Wooster's fault as well. Take him!
