It's not fair that he lets students keep previous exams, because they give them to students who take his class after them. He is suppose to give a copy of an old exam to all the students to study from to be fair. The only students that were getting As and Bs were the ones that had the old exams. One student got As b/c she had exams for 2 years

I like his personality, I do, and I hate to give him 1 star. But the only way you will possibly pass is if you have the previous years exams... the materials arent in the textbook, PowerPoint, or even Google. His grading criteria is very unclear and it doesnt seem like he enjoys teaching. I honestly dont feel like I learned anything in his clas

Although he understands the material well does not mean he presents it in the best way. This professor is difficult when it comes to grading and his powerpoints aren't the most informative. I would suggest reading the book chapter by chapter in order to pass his class because his notes are not enough.

This guy is horrible. He needs to learn how to teach. You can do anything you want and if he likes you, you pass. If not he's a real jerk. He needs to go back to kindergarten and learn how to play well with others. Try to avoid him if you can.

Run away from this professor. Sarcastic, arrogant, and plays favoritism. Tough grader and wants you to know who is in "charge." Very rude and doesn't inspire students to learn. Those who like him, use his past exams.

I have taken Dr. Safarowic through the entire gen. Chem and now orgo. He is a wonderful professor, good sense of humor, cares for his students. He is happy to answer any questions that his students have. Do all the homework because the questions are harder then the exam and read the textbook after each lecture. Would take this man again!

Although he is a good character and he appears to know what he is doing, his slideshows are very weak and he doesn't cover much. He swifts through the course like it's nothing and expect you to know everything. I didn't like his method

Print PowerPoints & take notes, review all contents on blackboard. Review the textbook and try to do the problems of each chapter because it does appear on the test. For lab don't buy the book there's a site online that allows you to print the labs for a small charge. READ lab passages the info is on the test. NO hw is given for summer session.

Professor Safarowic is an awesome guy! Lectures and labs are clear and brief. Organic is an intense course alone but he makes it fun and funny with his sense of humor. Test are hard and tricky so you need to do your part and study. Is available during his office hours for any clarification or questions. Keeps students interested with his stories.

Professor Safarowic is the man with the plan! Seriously, amazing guy! Lectures are precise and to the point! Take notes on the example he gives not so much on the PowerPoint. Homework is a must but it comes in handy on exam dates. Real tough grader but wants you to understand the material. Has flexible hours and helps you with your curriculum.

Huge ego, terrible at teaching organic 1 &2, always tired. His exams are impossible to pass unless you read the entire book (then youll be lucky if you get a C on the exams). He thinks he is too good for everyone and thinks he is hilarious. If you want to listen to his dumb life stories and fail the course, I recommend taking his class.

Challenging Test Maker for sure. Although, challenging his lectures are relevant to what he puts on the test. No BS, he doesn't sugar coat things, gives clear constructive criticism, lectures are to-the-point. Although, he does like to go off on tangent from time to time with a short story or two(or three). No complaints here.

I took him for both Organic Chemistry 1 & 2, and while he is a very interesting person and adds humor to the classroom, his lectures are not the best at all. Personally, I found reading the book on each chapter much better and make sure to DO THE "OPTIONAL" HOMEWORK! The tests revolves heavily around it heavily for both courses. Good luck!

I took Safarovic for Chem 111 and now for Chem 112. Power points are clear, his examples are very self explanatory and thought in step by step. He's patient and always willing to help students after class hrs and is willing to sit with you to even plan your curriculum with the right courses. Study everything he teaches in class and you'll pass.

my GPA is 3.85, I don't take school lightly. I work vry hard and I don't settle for anything less than a B. This class was taken a summer course. WAY too much 2 cover in 4 weeks, lab midterms are insanely hard. Every test is less than 15 questions. PLEASE, if you care about GPA. don't take summer! UNLESS YOU HAVE CHEM EXP. ALREADY

I took Pro. Safarowic for Chem I , he is very clear and straight forward in his lectures but his test are diffuclt. His test are all opened test and they test your knowledge of the material at hand. Best advise for any one taking him is to take notes in class , review your notes and do the HW he assigns.

Prof. Safarowic was excellent! He was knowledgeable, funny, patient, fair and VERY relatableevery man-ish. It was a Summer Session course & he had to step lively in his lectures at times, but he had sometimes downright hysterical anecdotes that helped you to make memorable connections with the material. I would highly recommend him!
