Took Intro to Sociology with Prof Lyons online. I thought the class the right level of difficulty. There were 5 discussion board topics, 9 essays (short) and 3 tests and a final. All work was given with adequate time to complete and all tests had review sheets posted. Enjoyed the class and would imagine an in person class would be more fulfilli

I took Professor Lyons online for Sociology and he is an amazing. He gives you study guides for every single exam and it literally tells you what you will be tested on. You have to read and the essay questions will be easy. He is very fair and contacts you back as soon as you email him. He also grades very fast so you'll know your grade within 3hrs

Very hard to reach , took Professor Lyons for an online class. I asked maybe 10 questions throughout the whole semester and he only answered once. Too old school for technology. Tough grader. Tests have almost nothing to do with what we review.

Wonderful professor. There are a lot of reading assignments and essays for his classes but everything is provided in his syllabus on the first day with dates and clear instructions. As long as you read the lecture notes he provides for you, you will do fine.

I lovethis Old guy!!!! He is very clear and tells u what exactly to study!!!! he gives a study guide for each class and tells u the essay questions...dont need a textbook either, just a nice HUGE Cup of coffe..his class is kinda boring but it pays to listen!

Yes, Prof. Lyons can seem boring if you don't enjoy the subject. I personally found him very informative and he kind of has a weird sense of humor-I don't think most of the class even caught his jokes, but I did! Also, he actually tests you on the book and class lectures.
