I took Unowsky for Mod. Europe, and he was a good professor. He feels he's right more often than not, so be careful trying to teach him something: he will blow past you. Do the readings, participate in class, and make sure you remember as many details as you can. A solid choice for a professor!

I never got less than a 90 on any of my essays or exams in his class. The lectures are long and if you're not into history, can be boring but as long as you come to class and take notes from the POWERPOINT you will pass his pop quizzes. Exams are made up of readings that you have to do on your own time, not on the lecture notes so READ.

Absolutely interesting professor. Probably one of my favorite classes I've taken. You will have to work for your A, but it is attainable. He gives pop quizzes at the beginning of almost every class, so be sure to get there on time. When I took his class we had to read one novel and it was super interesting!

This man is an incredible teacher! He is slightly opinionated, but he is a passionate historian. I really enjoyed this class. He gives 2 short papers and three tests. They are slightly challenging but if you study you will be fine! TAKE THIS CLASS!

He gives out a lot of quizzes at the beginning of class so BE ON TIME! If you miss a lot, it could affect your grade. You also only have two short papers so at least make it sound like you know what you're talking about. The exams are not very difficult either; just study and read the material. It is very difficult to get bored in this class; his lectures are interesting and he might crack a joke or two. So basically, go to class, read the material, study for exams and you should be fine.

Best teacher I've had hands down. His class was supr easy and very enjoyable. Anyone who says it was hard to understand or a lot of work might be kind of dumb. This class was super easy and enjoyable, and his lectures are really interesting too. I got perfect scores on most tests without any trouble.

Dr. Unowsky is extremely passionate about the material that he teaches. He loves history, & it comes across very vividly. I received an A- b/c I was always running a few minutes behind & missed many of those beginning of class pop quizzes. The class is easy if you simply read and do the work. History is my passion; therefore, I loved his as a prof

I hated this class-it was boring and he just goes on and on..but I made an A and I considered it to be an easy A. 3 essay format tests and 2 short papers is what the class consists of, so if you at least know a little bit about the material you'll be fine!

Arrogant but not bad. You will not understand most of it but study sessions, quizzes, assignments will help. Text is needed; not the novel though. Though not required, go to class! DONT GIVE UP. No student wants to work hard but if you give effort, trust me it will pay off & feel hella good!

He is really passionate about the subject. He gives random in class quizzes which are sometimes difficult to pass unless you pay attention and read the material before class. Test are essay format which doesn't bother me because if it sounds like you know what you are talking about you get a good grade.

He does random quizzes that you only have about two minutes to take. He lectures a lot and will not under any circumstance email the PowerPoint presentation. The exams are tough and come straight from the readings in the books. If you don't read you are sure to fail. He doesn't do the grading, the assistants do.

Prof. Unowsky is a very engaging teacher. In my opinion the only people who seem to not do very well are the people who do not even attempt to read before class. In a class of 100+ there are maybe 5 of people who participate.

He's a decent teacher but he's incredibly arrogant and over-opinionated. If you disagree with him, you're just wrong. Period. And he will toe the line of belittling you if you don't agree with him. He knows his stuff, but he seems to be the type of professor that thinks everyone else should automatically be at the level of professor also.

Dr. Unowsky is a good professor. He's very engaging and assigns really interesting readings. This is not an easy course, but it's worth taking. If you can look past his cockiness (he mentions his book at least once a class), you will enjoy his course.

A great teacher until the subject of politics comes up. He is very opinionated. Also assigns lots of homework, both readings and writing papers.

His classes were mandatory.Weread 3 books, gave a presentation on a chosen subject, and had about a 6 page paper due at the end of the semester. His powerpoints can be boring at times. This is a better clasif you are majoring or minoring in history. Not an easy A, but you will know a lot of history after his class.

Don't even question or disagree with this professor's teachings, even though he does not really know his subject, or he will get you in trouble and kick you out of class. He is a dictator and does not tolerate anyone disagreeing with him or questioning his knowledge.

This professor, even though he is good looking, thinks he is very studly and that the female students are fawning over him. He has a rather arrogant attitude and does emphasise himself quite a lot. He is an interesting teacher though and does know his subject, which is equally interesting. He just needs to stop being so pompous and arrogant.

I took his class last semester and he was extremely nice and helpful, but this semester he is kind of surly and jerkish and has sort of an attitude problem. What happened to him over the holidays? He is not himself at all, or is this his real self?
