Comment:

LOVED DR BURNS! He makes math fun and enjoyable. Took him for College Algebra for Teachers and he definitely helps students to learn how to do math and idolize a teacher like him. Quizzes every class that are easy and correspond to previous lesson. He goes over hw and quizzes, and makes everything seem easy. I would take him for every math class.

Comment:

Professor Burns is a great teacher. I had him for Calculus w/ Precalc part 2 and CAN I SAY HE WAS SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE PROFESSOR I HAD FOR PART 1. He takes into account the class's overall weakness regarding material and makes sure we have a better understanding.

Comment:

Best math professor I have ever had. He gives clear examples of problems and will explain the problem until everyone understands. He is always in a good mood and is willing to help you. Homework is not graded but helps keep up with the class material. Tests are exactly what is taught in class.

Burns is the man. I took calc in HS, so maybe thats why Im not struggling. But this man is so helpful. He will slow down if you need him to. Not an easy A but doable. He is CLEAR AND CONCISE. He is very easy to follow. Quick quiz every single class. Adequate grader and department head. Cracks jokes. SO MANY EXAMPLES. Overall, amazing professor!!

GREAT professor, one of my all time favorite math professors. Three tests, homework every night, which is expected. Tests are fairly easy as long as you go to class and participate. Would love to take him again!

Dr. Burns is an awesome guy and is so easy to talk to if you need help. He is always around. He can be a tough grader, but you have to work for your grade. He will never ignore a question asked in class and really does care about his students. I have taken three classes with him and he is the best!

Dr. Burns is an awesome guy and he is always around for extra help. (Which you may need.) You have to ask questions because he may sometimes skip steps, especially in his proofs class. Other than that, if you go to class and pay attention, you should be fine.

He is a great professor. I was said this semester to know that I was unable to take him again. Would recommend him to anyone. He is super helpful and makes math easy and fun. His jokes are hilarious to him which makes them all the more fun to us students. He isnt perfect with no making mistakes in his math, which helps us connect with him. Take him

Burns is a good guy and the class was not too bad. The exams were probably the most difficult thing in the class, as the labs the easiest. If you keep up with the studying, you can definitely do well in his class. He is helpful and understanding. The only downside about this class was that the final exam was much harder than we were all expecting.

I had Dr. Burns for numerous classes when he was still teaching at West Virginia Wesleyan College where I was a math major. Great prof! Great man! Always went out of his way to meet with me and made sure I understood everything. Was my advisor for my senior thesis...would have never gotten through "The Four Color Theorem" without him!
