I am still taking his meaning of life class and I have to say I am glad I got him. He is a great talker, has lots of interesting points, is encouraging when you ask questions or make an observation. Lots of papers (I like) so if you don't like writing this is not the course for you. Heavy on reading. Flexible with attendance. Good pick

He is very intelligent and witty. A lot of the material in the class is very relevant to current issues. If you pay attention and do the assignments, you will do well in the course. I would like to take his other courses.

He gives you lots of work and has stiff deadlines. I took an online class for the 1st time and I will never take another one. He needs to be on the traditional side. He is not a good instructor for working adults.

Comment:
Assigns interesting readings for the most part, but sometimes he can throw in long material that is almost impenetrable, and he doesn't find ways to explain it simply. Bad penmanship and scattered thoughts. But a very nice and funny guy overall, pretty enjoyable.

While Dave's classes tend to be kind of dull on occasion, I have come to find that, no matter how little I enjoyed being the his classes, his courses are the ones that are most eye-opening and have had the most impact on my life thus far. I deeply recommend muscling through one or two of his classes; they are worth it!

Be on time. Have the work. Do the readings. The class is only difficult if you don't understand those three things. Dr. Hilditch is a very good professor but not the easiest. One should leave the class full of new worldly interpretations, given you do the work asked of you.

There are no loopholes with Hilditch. Expect to be in class everyday with all of the required materials. Heavy loads of reading before each class, as well as many research papers throughout the class.

I liked this course and he made it easy. He knew a lot about the topic and is a good professor to listen to for 50 minutes. Time flys by when I'm in this class and I recommend it with him!

He is a very nice and understands professor to the kids that put in effort in his class. It was a very interesting and mind-expanding class. He is good at leading discussions and is very open minded when it comes to the opinions of others. I would recommend him any day. However he is a stickler for grammar and spelling on papers.

Very helpful and nice! I learned a lot and had fun in his class, Introduction to Philosophy. The work was challenging, but not insanely difficult and he was always willing to lend a hand.
