Comment:
David is willing to talk to students outside of class and work with them on outside projects. For Production Dynamics be aware that you should be studying way before the final and pay attention to the syllabus. Be ready to participate in class discussions or face his disappointment.

David is a really good professor. His Production Dynamics class is theatre majors only, and mostly discussion with 3 essays throughout. The isn't a midterm, but the final is pretty intense. Be sure you read the theatre handbook.

Acting III was awesome. Everyone wants to take the next one. If you take David's classes, he is cranky about attendance so if your not serious about the exercises , acting, don't take it.

Acting I. Liked this class. did several open scenes and learned acting vocabulary. Fairly easy and fun. Would have liked to do more of the movement stuff that we started in the first weeks. Recommend.

Dialects class was great. Wanted to learn more and wish there were fewer people in class so we could have had more individal coaching.

Excellent LACC. Teacher is really an interesting lecturer who made the material relevant. No study guides any more for this class, which made it challenging. Had to see two plays and they were both good, especially the Western play,.

I am thankful for the many classes. Without David's help, I never would have gone to graduate school or had so much success as an actor. Meisner and advanced Meisner are still my favorite.

Stage speech II was really vauable. I liked the cd's from different teachers and felt engaged in every class. Didn't like the final group project, but that had more to do with the partners than the project. I think using scenes AND monologues will make the class even better in the future.

Amazing class. I have learned so much about acting Shakespeare and verse and am hungry for more. Wish we could have done some of the Rodenburg exercises even more or that the class extended to three quarters. The trip to Ashland rocked!

This is a really good introductory class. Attendance is important - your grade will suffer if you miss very much. The book is expensive, so I bought the ebook. The instructor is very passionate and knowledgable about theater, which makes for a much more interesting class. I highly recommend this class/instructor.

I enjoyed his class. You have to see 2 plays, and wrtie a couple papers. Tests were very easy if you studied at all. Hard not to get an A in his class. Hes a good teacher with a sense of humor. You have to play the small play books, but DO NOT buy the textbook...we never even opened it in class, and I wasted $100 on it. He gives study guides!
