Professor McConnell is the reason I became an anthro major! I took into to anthro with him and fell in love with the discipline. He is a hard grader and expects a lot on tests. You can tell he is passionate about his research and educating students. Very approachable and kind.

Very difficult grader on tests and papers, but still a very enjoyable professor! He's very knowledgeable and his classes are very relaxed. He's fun, very laid back and an amazing professor. Great class!

greatest teacher i think i've ever had. The way he teaches is so enjoyable, and interesting, and memorable that he was a huge factor in deciding my major. He is just completely a delightful dude, clearly knows a ton about his subject, loves it and loves to be teaching it. I wish he taught ten more classes.

WONDERFUL PROFESSOR! He loves what he teaches and that is very obvious! He cracks jokes occasionally and when he speaks in Japanese it's the highlight of my day! Tests are not bad if you study the clearly structured study guide! Take his class!

I took Intro to Anthro with Professor McConnell and absolutely loved it. He is by far the best anthro professor that the college offers; I doubt I would have enjoyed the subject so much if I'd taken the course with a different professor. He knows his material and is a very grader and supportive instructor. I definitely recommend him.
