Comment:

The only up side to Dr. O is that there are no tests in his class. Unfortunately, your entire grade is made up of written assignments that he picks apart. Every single class is filled with endless lectures and tangents. Very, very boring. I skipped frequently and still did pretty well. Never once opened the text book.

Rambles a lot and makes it extremely hard to pay attention in class. He's a nice guy but treats his class like a higher level class and not like an undergrad course. Good luck getting anything higher than a B- on his papers unless you spend countless hours (maybe even days) perfecting your papers.

Dr. O is the bomb. He literally had me cracking up every class. His lectures are normally very long, but I've grown to enjoy his class overall. He's a pretty tough grader, but gives you a ton of feedback. He really enjoy teaching this material and knows what he is talking about even though he seems a tad scattrebrained at times. Would definitely take his class again just to hear his jokes and stories.

He's quirky. No tests, just four small "fun field exercise" write-ups and two longer (3-4 pgs)homework write-ups. He's terrible at spelling but he's entertaining. Never bought the book. Just take notes in his class. Easy class, he's a nice guy.

Where to begin. At first I thought this class would be interesting, but by class 3 I realized I was in a for a long ride. He rambles on, goes in circles, has confusing notes with tons of grammatical errors. The HW assignments are a pain because he expects so much, and his grading comes out of left field. No tests tho which is nice. Would not recmnd

NO TESTS! Just some papers and fun field exercises. To get an A, I should have taken more notes in class, but I'm happy with a B. Only complaint is I don't think he honestly read every word. Some things didn't make sense to him, but were obvious if he read my work. Just apply notes and the book to homework to get the A. Also: he's the funniest!

I dont know what most are talking about but he is not boring at all times only when a assignment is almost due and he goes over that but he is very funny, adn real and work is not that hard if you come to class. Just make sure you clearly write everything he says. He does grade hard but he writes in red all over your paper even if you get an A

He is a tough crowd but very educated. His papers are rather difficult and not cleary explained. I found it was best to have them prepared before they were due and have him go over what I was missing prior to turning it in. Grades tough but fairly. Overall I will prob take him again. He has expectations and if you can meet them you will be fine

He is very easy but don't expect to get an A...papers were actually really hard and still don't understand why I got the grade I received on them...also you will turn in about three papers at a time and still not get feedback until later...I got a B, and thought it was easy but don't expect to just get an A.

Ortinau was one of my favorite professors. He assigns medium length papers oppossed to tests. Attendance is not mandatory but the info for the papers is in the lectures not the book. Adds aspects of reality into his lectures not just textbook material. I would reccomend him.

Easy class. Funny teacher that cares about his students. Do the work and you will get an A! If you get the chance, take him for buyer behavior as well...I hear it's much more interesting than his research class. Overall, great guy that teaches you to think beneath the superficial level in a way that makes it easy.

Marketing research... Lectures are so boring and mandatory. Lectures have nothing to do with papers. The papers are very poorly explained and difficult. The class really sucked. He cant explain anything clearly. He can be funny at times but it was one of the most boring classes in the universe.

This is one of those classes where getting a 'B' is easy but "A" status is more difficult. You get what you put into the class. It may seem boring, but most of research is until you get to some conclusions. Be sure to speak up in class so he knows who you are.
