Literal GOATTTTTT, would take this class again in a heartbeat. Take him for an easy A in science. Didn't do anything hahaha. Great guy. The class was called Energy and Environment.

Best professor ever. LOVE Winn! No tests. Assigns a lot of homework, but all the answers are on Chegg. Quizzes are with groups and open book, usually the same questions as the homework. Theres one project, super easy but time consuming. Then the final, he gave us a 15 page review packet of everything that will be on it that we can bring to the exam

BY FAR the WORST professor I've ever had. He babbles through lectures and doesn't actually apply any of the information to examples or situations. Fully expects the students to learn physics by themselves. Quizzes are random and are usually a chapter or two behind so you can't really prepare for them. If I could give zeros I would.

Easy A, but you won't learn any physics. Very disorganized and unclear. He expects everyone already knows abstract modern physics concepts. No tests, but quizzes happen every week usually in groups. They aren't related to the lectures, but aren't difficult & have at least 20% extra credit. He gives 3+ hours of homework per class but we all useChegg

Avoid him if u can, & if u can't may the odds be ever in ur favor. But I suggest waiting! Whoever else u'll have will be better than him. His lectures last 20 mins max (if u can call rushing & mumbling through a chapter teaching), & has a pop quiz 4 the rest of the class (~30 min). U never know when its coming or what Chap. ,it's going to be on.

If you read this guy's CV he's really impressive. In the classroom? Talk about Asbergers! I'm sure he's smart, but why they let him teach is beyond me. He may have passion for physics but not for teaching it. It's all between his ears. He mumbles, he's disorganized and he really doesn't seem to care about what we may accomplish in the lab Argh

He did not really teach us anything at all. He would give a short 2 min intro before the lab but I never could understand what he was saying. If you are looking for an easy lab professor just to get the lab over with then take him. If your looking to learn something take someone else. Go A's/A-'s on labs that I would spend only 20 mins on.

This class is a big joke. You have to attend because of pop quizzes but they are open book and you can cheat with the entire class... he does not care. Homework is optional even though he pretends its not. Did nothing and got an A. If you want to fulfill the core this is the way to go

the fact that this man is the chair of the physics dept says a lot about this school. this man is ridiculous. DOES NOT TEACH, not helpful at all, no tests during the year but there is a final. the final grade is completely random. horrible horrible!! I DONT KNOW HOW HE IS STILL TEACHING LET ALONE AS A CHAIR.

I was excited to take this class, but Winn ruined it. It's pretty clear that he only wants to teach majors, and he treats the students in this class like they are stupid "rocks for jocks" type students. I am an A student and wanted to take the class seriously; too bad Winn refused to take it seriously. I had to teach myself the material.
