Deb is the best professor Ive ever had. She genuinely cares about her students and is passionate about the material she teaches. She always goes above and beyond to make sure that good feedback is provided and that the class is enjoyable.

Deb is genuinely my favorite professor. I've taken 2 of her classes already and I'm planning on taking another next semester. She doesn't use Blackboard but she grades assignments and gives them back quickly with good feedback. She cares about her students and the wellbeing of others. So, if you have something going on, speak to her.

Deb is one of the coolest professors I have had! She doesn't treat you like some name on a spreadsheet. She takes time to know students. Her tests are a little difficult (Read the chapters out of class). Don't be afraid to ask her for help. She always tries to find the best time and option for you to talk to her. Love her class!

Comment:

One of the nicest professors I've met! She tries to stray away from strictly lecturing, and tries to use different methods to teach. Is friendly and will help you in any way she can. I definitely recommend Dr. Deb for sociology classes, because her classes aren't too hard or too boring.

Deb is very friendly and laid back. She makes sure you are anything but just a number and gets to know each and everyone of her students. Her tests tend to be very tricky a lot of true or false and multiple choice (I prefer essays). Also, make sure to read the readings outside of class. Their on the exams and she doesn't discuss them in class.

Favorite sociology teacher in the department. Great woman! Actually tries to get to know her students, is very flexible, and does not have terribly demanding coursework. Our class actually had a lot of fun! Take this class with Deb for sure!

Really nice lady, really cares for you as a student and a person. However, the study guide is lengthy and very detailed and she doesn't give you that much information during lecture. She also doesn't use Blackboard which is really annoying.

It is a pretty interesting class, something I wouldn't take for fun but interesting. Make sure you get the book and fill in the study guides as you go along. If you do that, you can easily get a B. She is very very helpful. I called her the night before the final and she answered every question I had and told me a extra things about the final.

This class is borrrrrrrring!! She has the worst monotone voice ever. She tries to act cool but she isnt. The papers arn't hard at all. But there is a lot of reading and the text is let's just say not a fun-read. She doesnt use blackboard or powerpoint, but just the over-head. A harder class than what I was expecting.

SHE IS SO GREAT. SHE TALKS TO YOU LIKE A PERSON AND NOT JUST ANOTHER STUDENT. HER TESTS ARE STRAIGHTFOWARD AND SO IS SHE. LOTS OF READINGS BUT THE CLASS IS FUN BECAUSE SHE DOES LOTS OF MOVIES AND SURVEYS AND FUN ASSIGNMENTS! SHE WILL HELP WITH ANYTHING YOU ASK HER TO! ONE OF MY FAVORITE PROFS!

She was my favorite professor at OU. I took three sociology classes with her and I wasn't even a SOC major! I think everyone should take her classes because she makes the material interesting and she is very good at connecting with her students!
