While he was incredibly kind my experience with him was just average, but this may be because I took him over the summer for an accelerated course. I was greatly impressed by how quickly he responded to emails, however I felt that the feedback and advice he gave was odd, slightly difficult to interpret + off par, especially for a 4 week class.

Hoepfer was great! Had him for Intro to Phil and again for Ethics (PHIL-105). Great speaker, I could listen to the man talk all day. He expects you to care. So even if you are the biggest philosopher, showing that you are engaged or that you are putting in effort will take you far in his classes.

Hoepfer was probably one of my favorite professor I had at Carroll. I thought Ethics would be boring but his humor makes it great. I would 100% recommend his Ethics class for a humanities credit.

He is an extremely nice guy! I had him for Phil 101. He is extremely understanding when it comes to the workload students have from all their classes. He assigns readings, but he doesn't quiz or test you on them. There were only 2 major essay assignments, and a couple basic discussion assignments. Definitely recommend taking him!

Don is one of the most amazing professor I had at carroll, and would highly recommend him to any and everyone! He's very insightful, makes the class very intresting with stories and facts. He's also used humor a lot, which I appreciate! Overall, great guy who really cares about his students.

Don is by far the best prof I've had at Carroll. I would 100% take one of his classes again. The way he explains things makes it easier for you to understand it. He likes having kids comment and say what they feel about different things. Take this class, even if you don't need it.

I was required to take this course for my major. I am currently taking this class over J-Term. He is a good professor but is a tough grader and expects a lot out of your writing. I am rally struggling with this course. I for one am not into philosophy one bit and wish that I would have taken this class over a full semester.

So far one of the few teachers I actually like at Carroll. He was funny, understanding, and respectful. I took an online class with him during a j-term, and it was a good decision. I would recommended him to everyone. Great teacher!

He mixes some of his humor with the lectures in class, which keeps me awake since I am not a morning person. This class has been one of the few classes that I did not hate with a passion and as a matter of fact I would take this class again if he was the Professor.

Hoepfer is the best teacher I have had. I would recommend him to anyone, he has great stories and his class is very interesting. I wish I could take more classes with him. For Ethics you don't really need the book a lot of the text he puts on blackboard.
