He's really hilarious; he tends to present himself as disheveled and aloof, but don't let that fool you, he's whip smart. I highly encourage going to office hours. Often, I stay after class for 30 minutes or so just to talk about history. You will have to study the readings closely and truly understand the material to do well.

Well I am not stupid, lazy, or on drugs, and I don't think Jackson is the best history professor at Lafayette...not even close. He may be the easiest, but definitely not the best.

Comment:

Best history teacher at Lafayette College. Ties everything learned in class together and makes it easy for students to understand and retain the information. Anyone who thinks DC is a bad teacher is either stupid, lazy, or on drugs.

I learned absolutely nothing from his class. His grading is easy but I felt like it was a waste of my time to go to class. I will never take a class with him again. He's a nice man but not a good professor.

Professor Jackson is an engaging and quirky teacher. He is clearly very knowledgable about his field and pushes students to make connections between their lives and the topic they are studying. His classes are fun and interesting.
