Dr. Puretz is by far my best teacher at DCC. He's thorough with his teachings and extremely helpful if ever you have an issue... Either inside or outside the classroom. A true Gem.

This class was more about his accomplishments, experiences and checking out the pretty young girls in the classroom and asking them about their goals and personal life--very insulting. Easy grader, only 2 exams but a waste of time. Class often ended 1.5 hours early (out of 3) with him never spending more than 30 mins on course topic.

One of the worst teachers ive ever had. He only cares about himself and will call you stupid every chance he gets. We would open the book and then he would get sidetracked and we would get no where.if the tests were on his life instead of the class we would all pass the tests, but no one knows anything on the test but its all in the book apparently

he doesn't teach you anything and just goes on about pot and how he's from brooklyn. he tells the same jokes over and over again and tells you the book is wrong. Its kinda hard to follow him since he gets sidetracked and he goes over the test a week before and he tells you what to know but goes too fast...btw he has trouble hearing so speak up

I would make tally marks to track every minute until I could leave, because there was nothing else to do. He does not teach, but tells you everything on the test the week before so you can go learn it on your own. All he talks about is how wrong the book is the same jokes every week. Easy if you like teaching yourself,but miserable class to attend.

Okay, despite the mean things people are saying about him... I loved this class. Hes very sarcastic and he likes to mess with people to start arguements, but hes never serious. The class itself is an easy A. We watched movies and talked every day. His tests are based on the book because he doesn't teach, but he offers extra credit constantly.

I can't even call him a horrible teacher because he didn't teach. All he ever does is make jokes which aren't funny and tell stories that are unrelated to anything we're supposed to be talking about. The tests are on the actual material, which you have to learn yourself by reading the book. If you want a real professor, don't take his class.

at first, he comes off as a jerk but he can be funny. didnt really learn much from him, had to learn from the book myself. dont be late to class, he will put you on the spot. or miss a test or anything because you need a legit. reason to make it up. easy class though overall

Offers extra credit all the time, test are pulled from the text, buy the book, and whatever you do study. Don't miss more then 2 classes, even though he tell's his life story during class time and a series of bad jokes lol :P.. He a interesting person, and also extremely nice! And I wouldn't take much of what he jokes about on a personal level.

Easy A, but totally pointless class. If you don't attend class, you receive a 2 point reduction off the final grade for every absence, which is rediculous. It is like a comedy club, all you do in class is listen to him tell jokes and his life story. Fun, easy A, but overall pointless

FUNNY AS HELL!!! I enoyed his class more than any other! He keeps you thinking, introduces you to different points of view, and keeps you laughing. Tests are easy, and he basically tells you what to study. JUST DON'T BE LATE FOR CLASS!!!!
