Comment:
Initially Moreau comes off as boring, but after a few classes I realized that I really enjoyed his lectures. He is very slow-paced, but very detailed. He assigns readings every class, but if you skim them and raise your hand two or three times a week (participation), you will do fine. He assigned two 3-page papers and did not grade harshly.

his class is not that hard if you do exactly what the syllabus says, keep up with the readings and study guide questions, there is one final paper and two exams (do not procrastinate on the paper and you'll be fine), not going to lie missed a couple classes but i still passed with a B so yea, good luck :)

Dr. Moreau comes off initially as very boring, but he is very knowledgeable, caring, and helpful, definitely deserves his spot as a Honors Triple teacher. His lectures are long and based primarily on participation and discussion. You must read to do well and participate, participation is usually around 30% of his grading scale.

This class is one of the best I've taken. Moreau is brilliant in the way he progresses through the development of American thought and consistently connects the readings and philosophies to one another throughout the semester. He expects you to work but its well worth it for how much you'll learn.

FOR HONORS STUDENTS. He’s a sweet old man but talks too much in class! Lot of reading material. His syllabus was a midterm and final with two papers in between. Participation, however, is the key to a decent grade in his class. As a Business major I don’t see the point in the Honors Triple and I wouldn’t recommend it to others who are interested.

He is very sweet and nice, always willing to help you if you have any questions, concerns, etc. He always take attendance, so going to class is a must. He gives out pop quizzes, but all of them can be found in the study guide, so if you read the book and review the study guide, you will be fine. I Would love to take him again.

Go to class and read the assigned homework and you'll do very well. His reading questions are the questions on the test. Don't be intimidated by the 8 page paper he grades it very easily. Great guy, didn't mind going to every class.

Best teacher ever!He says the funniest things when he tries to give examples and hes not even trying to be funny. People in the class literally wrote down some of the things that he said because they were so funny. His tests vary in hardness. You basically need to know all of the study guide questions and you'll be fine. Also participation counts 20%

If you don't read the material assigned, you'll sit there bored out of your mind (Can still pass tests if you can answer study questions). Moreau speaks slowly and has a monotone voice. But if you read and participate, you will get so much enjoyment out of the class. I'm taking him again next semester because I enjoy his insights and ideas.

He's an interesting teacher with great lectures. Lets you know exactly what he wants for tests and papers, and lets you hand paper drafts in for mark-up. [I got three As on my papers because of this...] Somehow works 'the neighbor's wife' into every analogy he produces...
