Took professor Dixon for Fam & Cons. studies online, the homework is pretty heavy, everything must be in details. Projects have to be mailed to her. She does not respond to emails. All exams are timed, which makes the student feel rushed to get the material done. Does give extra credit.

Comment:

You need to smart rather than study hard. I studied with her outline ,textbook and spent five hours a week in order to take test. But I got 25 out of 50 scores in every exam. Nothing worth and gave me much stress. Time consuming either. Fortunately, I ended up to found out where the exam questions come from. Just google her first exam questions.

took on line course, VERY time consuming work, ridiculously low credit for the assignments, & the tests are off the wall in comparison to the material! You will basically rewrite the book used(assignments).The value of the book is less than 60% upon sellback @bkstore,bcuz she uses a NEW version each year,Got a A, almost lost my mind in the process!

Online classes are not as people think. If you are thinking this will be an easy class, please reconsider! Prof is okay in replying to us but the material is a lot and the exams are very detail oriented so if you don't read beforehand and think you can take it open book, expect to fail.

DONT TAKE COURSE ONLINE. HORRIBLE TEACHER, too much work and you wont do good. She gives 50 words a week, for 4pts. On top of that a 50question test in 60 minutes, and 5 short essay questions. On top of that too LONG projects. Not worth the time!

She gives too much work for so little points. 50 word definitions and they are worth 4ptsper week along with 5 essay questions.Tests are 50 hard questions and your only given 60 minutes. Do not take her online. Not worth the trouble waste of time, and you wont do well

i took her for an online class. she is not helpful.i can tell she's rude and doesn't give a damn about students when i talk to her through emails. sorta ignores your questions.lots of work. very hard exams.you'll need to read the book repeately. she gave me a B for 89%. i regret taking her class, but she's the only one teaching this course i think.

She is horrible. DO NOT take her under any circumstances. Maybe take her online course so you dont have to see her every week. She is VERY rude, has a mean attitude and totally unhelpful. The material in class is not hard but you will be bored out of your mind. NOT recommended.

Need to read the textbook & write 50 notecards for each chapter. If you study, tests are easy. Otherwise,don't complain about the teacher.Do your homework & you'll be fine. Btw, she is tough but i dont' think she is rude. pay attention when she is lecturing. Don't ask twice for the same question and she will be mad cause she clarifies very clearly.

She knows the subject very well. she has surprising quizzes that are not very hard, but it is for extra credit. a lot of work in the class. If you can't read and write a lot for only one class, i don't recommend. Wanna learn? Take her class, you will definitely learn about nutrition.
