He was the best teacher I ever had; He was rigorous but very fair and you leart a lot from his class. It was a privilege to have had a professor of such stature who had won such a prestigius award (Fulbright) and be written about in many media outlets.

I had no problems in this class. I did my homework everyday and I got an A in the class. He seemed like a fine teacher.

He goes way off tangent in lectures. He gives you 3 ways to solve a problem, each one more complicated than the last. His tests are not covered in the homework done in class. He should be teaching at graduate school for the kind who really love math. But for us who are just trying to advance to our degree, stick with one formula that works.

I disagree with the two prior reviews. Dr. Zela is a kind man that is interested in the success of each of his students. His accent (Albanian) is not heavy so I don't see how anyone that pays even a modicum of attention during lecture and devotes the necessary time towards studying the material should experience difficulty.

Everything about his class just annoys me. You can barely understand him, the way he wants you to show your work is dumb, and good luck trying to read anything he puts on the board. Try to find a different teacher if you get him on your schedule.

Comment:
Dr. zela's teaching style is very unclear and his explanations are really poor. His tests use the most obscure problems possible, making them almost impossible to pass. Run, don't walk, and drop this class. I reccomend Peterman instead.
