For any of the forums saying that he isn't a tough graded, I think they're just being too nice. The final exam dropped from an A to a C because the questions were just so confusing! He can also drop you a letter grade for more than two misspelled words on an essay. If you need this for a G.E skip it. I wouldn't recommend his class.

HE'S A TOUGH GRADER! I went from a 95% to a 75% on a 10-page paper off THREE MISSPELLED WORDS. He marks you down half a letter grade for each word spelled wrong and it doesn't say in his syllabus. His forums are practically credit or no-credit. If you turn in late or forget a reply, expect a 0. Don't buy his book, get it on Kindle Unlimited.

Tests are almost impossible to complete. Super tough grader. Not that specific with stuff but then docks you for everything possible. Highly dont recommend, especially if your goal is to pass.

Great online class! Weekly discussions online with other students. Pretty easy to complete ahead of time. 2 papers in total. Not a tough grader. Test are heavily on the book. Pretty cool how he created it but expensive.

Professor Lester is a very interesting professor. I took his online class for Comm 300 Visual Communications. He posts all the discussion forums ahead of time so I knocked those out early. He makes you purchase his book and write papers from them. If you don't agree with his book in your papers, he'll literally roast your work.

Professor Lester can be vague in his instruction, but offers A LOT of extra credit throughout his online class, and also lets you submit your papers ahead of time for review before grading. His online exams are not as hard as you would think either (only 25 questions, with no time limit). This was my first online class, and I would take him again.

Extremely vague course with vague instructions and vague answer choices. Better do well on your paper because his online tests are hard. Literally no way to learn in this class because you dont get to see what you got wrong on your test when youre done with it. Passed this class but I cant recommend him, Im sorry. Teach, dont try to trick!

Test have some super ambiguous choices. What I like about the class is the not so heavy workload. He is a pretty damn subjective teacher, so should probably ask for some feedback before turning in paper. Instructions are vague. He demands a lot from his chapter papers, despite the 2 sentence instructions? Overall, he is a decent person, but vague.

I really enjoyed this online class. I learned a lot by reading his book and wish I had taken it in person instead. If you want to go into any type of design career in the future, I highly suggest taking this class. His tests aren't too hard if you read the textbook. It's okay to miss a few forum questions but don't miss too many.

Online class was by far the worst online class I've ever taken; learned nothing, terrible class formatting, and lose points on virtually anything he disagrees with. Tests were filled with ambiguous opinionated answer. Forces you to buy his book and agree with his bias. Offers extra credit assignments and a curved grading scale to compensate. Trash.

One of the worst professors I've had. He does not care about his students whatsoever. Every time I email him with a question (the class is online) he has some rude response that doesn't help me at all. How are we suppose to get our questions answered if he cant even respond in a professional manner? Save yourself and take a professor who cares.

This class seemed really clear and easy. The thing that made it difficult was the very vague responses the instructor gave.

He is a tough grader on papers. Make sure you send your paper to him in advance for feedback because you can be dropped a letter grade or two for simple mistakes. Ex, I misspelled the textbook authors name one time in a in text citation by one letter and was marked down 5 points ( half a letter grade).

Prof. Lester's online COMM300 is an easy A. Weekly forum posts that are usually unrelated to lectures or reading, and opinion oriented. 3 Tests and two papers. Kind of a tough grader on the papers. Tests are ALL from the book. Didn't open one of his lectures and passed with a solid grade.

Honestly, it was the best online class I ever took. Not too time consuming. Weekly forum posts which aren't hard at all. Just make sure you do them, I did all of mine in one day so I didn't have to worry later. 2 papers. Not hard at all. Tests are easy if you have the e-book. You can use the search to find the answers. I would take it again!!

This was an awesome class, I highly recommend. tons of extra credit. Try to get over 90% on first three test then you won't have to take the FINAL EXAM - you have to write to essays but you have already taken english 101 so this won't be difficult. you will love the class online and you will get either an A or B depending on your work ethics.

I took 15 units this semester and P. Lester's COMM 300 made my life so much easier. His tests are straight from the book, forums each week are basically your own opinion, and if you average an A after the first 3 tests, you don't have to take the final. I would highly recommend him!

I took the online class during Summer along with a 400 level class and full time work and managed to get the readings done. He tests directly from his book and provides great feedback if you send him an email. I'll be honest, I didn't get much from his powerpoints and video lectures but if you read the chapters thoroughly you should be fine.

Online tests are still pretty challenging, 2 papers that he grades kinda harsh, or at least unevenly, not sure which. Lectures are boring, I got a B in the class without ever sitting through one, I know people who have gotten 105% in the class though. Final is open bookopen note, open mouth for 10 minutes. Gives a lot of extra credit opportunities

Great professor! Gives extra credit every week! Grades paper very hard but finish them a couple days before and he'll give you great feedback. Takes attendance and most of the answers to the study guides are in the book.
