Edie is super nice but also super disorganized which was a bit annoying for me. Doesn't give grades or feedback unless you ask but is willing to go over it with you if you do. overall she's good, just not really my type of prof

Edie is one of the sweetest people you will every meet. Her class is always entertaining and thought provoking. She brings an interesting sociological aspect to the texts. Edie is helpful, accepting, friendly, and just an overall great teacher. Taking her class two semesters in a row makes me sad that I'm done with the honors program. Amazing.

I really loved Edie all throughout the semester. She was always very understanding and always gave feedback on grading. She requires 8 assignments throughout the semester and 1 final paper/project. I liked her throughout the semester, until I got my final grade. Somehow after getting A's on all my assignments, I ended up with a B+ in the class.

Edie wasn't my favorite preceptor, but I look for a challenge in my precepts. If you prefer a lot of discussion and not a lot of work, take this class. Only 4 assignments on the texts and a final paper or a project. She's very sweet though, and I would have enjoyed it more if I'd been looking for an easy course.

She talks way to much in class and i feel like it kills the discussion. She tries to come up with a reaction to what every student says and it doesnt work most of the time, i think. Assignments are doable and she is very kind.

Edie is awesome! I loved her class and she really brings Sociology alive! I took her class not knowing what to expect because I didn't like Sociology in High School and now I'm considering it for a minor because of her! Would love to have her again!

Edie can be confusing and often slows discussion down by repeating back her own ideas. Also doesn't always give great feedbackreasoning for her grading (and sometimes doesn't even open assignments), but she is really nice and the class is fairly easy.

She is the kindest woman. Her class was a little too easy as she was not a hard grader. She was so nice, and she really set up a calming/safe environment for class discussion. And for everybody who says she hate men, I disagree. She seemed to like a lot of the boys in my class, and she has a son that you can tell she just adores.

She doesn't really invoke a lot of discussion. If anything she kills it by repeating everything that is said into her own words so she can understand. She grades easy enough, I only saw one grade. As far as being a man or woman it doesn't matter, but she seems very liberal. Also a fan of denim, never a day without it

She's very nice but I tend to disagree with her grading. She's not a hard grader, I just often disagree with her comments on my papers. She's a good professor but not necessarily very stimulating or inspiring.

Sweetest woman. She created a comfortable, open forum and encouraged everyone to offer input, but rarely forced it if you weren't feeling it. I can only assume she grades fairly because out of the 16 some-odd papers due (a 4 pg paper per week) you only see an actual grade on one of them. Made going to class enjoyable and was very open to new ideas.

Would have been an alright class if she friggen read my final!! It was a take home final, which i spent so long on, 15 pages of writing...then when i emailed it to her i noticed it was never opened or saved or anything. Then when grades came in and I had gotten a B in that **** class I was pissed off. So i wrote to her "Hey just wondering what i got for a grade on my final" no responce! Most likely cause im a guy...if you are a girl u wont have problems

tries hard to get the class involved.. A LOT of reading for a 100 level class and you HAVE to do it.. lots of writing on the articles she gives you.. read a bunch of articles.. write a response is pretty much what the class is.. sorta hard.. but can be interesting at times.. expect to be made to participate!

Resources were old. Classes were long and pointless. Unwilling to listen to alternative points of view. Late to class and unprepared.

This class has the word "advanced" in the title but don't let it fool you. I've never hated a class more. You don't grades back, she doesn't bother to have lesson plans, and she silences smart students to encourage slower learners. We learned more about her emotional issues than feminist theory.
