Dr. Drago was by far my best teacher and mentor at the College of Charleston. He is a great leader, even if he doesn't show it in a cocky manner. Get to know him on a personal level and he will really take an interest in your education, both inside and outside the classroom.

He rambles aimlessly about things that dont directly relate to the material. He tells random stories about vietnam that have nothing to do with the class. He often gets confused and probably should not teach anymore. The lectures are pointless.

This class is pointless. Everyone just uses it as a study period. The only grades are 3 papers plus the final. Everyone gets B's on the papers. He takes attendance. He's very rude sometimes and is very set in his beliefs. This class was a waste of time and dreadful, but fairly easy. He does NOT make the papers clear though in terms of what he wants

Easy class but the instructor is totally random all the time. Basically come to class, participate, and follow the directions on the syllabus. The class is all papers..

All he ever really talks about is how to write the papers...everyday. Wants elementary thesis statements and will count off several points if papers aren't completed in his standards. Seems like he plays favorites. Class was a joke. But he is an incredibly nice and funny man. Lots of war stories.

Don't take him if you want to learn anything. He's a funny guy, but should be an English class, NOT a History class. No tests, quizzes or homework. Just four essays that he grades harshly, more so whether or not it is structured how he wants it rather than its content. All we do everyday is get in groups and talk. Had to teach myself everything.

Professor Drago is super easy. 4 absences (but sometimes forgets to write you down as absent), but you can show up at the class and use it as a study hall everyday. I always bring study guides for other tests there. He has four essays, each which are 25% of your final grade. Two are in the blue book, two written. One essay is 500 words. Sooo easy!

I don't doubt that he's smart, but he shouldn't be teaching. We have had only two or three classes in which we were taught anything, but what he lectures about is never relevant to quizzes or exams. Optional group project has taken up the whole past month, no learning. Two-question quizzes. Irrelevant. Do NOT take if you want to learn.

Professor Drago is very sweet but his lectures are confusing. I got an A in the class but don't feel like I learned a lot. He taught for the first couple weeks then split us in to groups where we had to rely on other group members to help us learn the rest of the material. For quizzes..just know as much as possible about the topic

SO EASY! take him! Easy class. Just put in a little effort and you will be fine. He cares about what he does but doesn't realize that he is easy. He thinks stuff that he assigns takes forever but thats because he is old. The video project is not hard definitely participate and you will get an A on the final. TAKE HIM!!

Taking Dr. Drago is a lot like talking to your grandpa. He's a very nice man and knows a lot. However, your lectures get interspersed with anecdotes, and he's going to talk about what he wants to (i.e., the Civil War), curriculum be damned.

Terrible teacher, sat in class doing nothing, there was nothing to take notes on and i tried to take notes. Has no organization and one of those teachers that just throws grades on papers depending on who you are. Worst class i've taken

Nice guy and SO easy. Couple of quizzes that he gives you the questions to beforehand, and 2 simple papers. Does a "bring history to life" video project which you do as a class, in class, is pretty simple, and he lets you have that grade as your final test grade - my class all got As for it, except the people who didn't help (about 8 people).

This guy's bat crazy. He tells you that the paper shouldn't be more than 3 pages, but then he takes off for not adding enough depth to it even though I followed all the guidelines (it really was a good paper!). Half the classes are discussions about a youtube project 1/2 of the class is not involved with, and very pointless. Overall easy though.

Great professor! He really cares about you doing well. He gives you study guides for quizzes and tests which are practically the quiz and test itself. He can get a bit confusing when discussing the midterm/final but just send him an email and he clarifies what he's looking for. TAKE HIM best history professor!

He lets you know exactly whats gonna be on the Midterm/Final/Paper. There are only 4 grades in the class, with a few quizzes here and there (very easy). He makes you feel very comfortable during your oral presentation, dont worry he grades easily and its not bad at all. I felt like I was in a close knit high school class. TAKE HIM!

easy class, drago gives out "study guides" for his tests, which are exactly the test itself. just write down some crap that has to do with the subject and you'll get an A. he really doesn't answer questions clearly, but it doesn't really matter. as long as you show up and act like you're interested, he'll like you. changes his mind a lot..

I'm the kind of person who was expecting this class to thoroughly analyze ancient societies one by one, and I have to say that this course doesn't really do anything for me. At first I couldn't even figure out what I was supposed to be reading! We only have 4 grades the whole semester and Drago likes to ramble about the Civil War at random times.
