Comment:

Levri's a great guy, and while this course was not something I would have considered interesting, he made it pretty engaging. He's very knowledgeable on the subject, and will help you to no end to understand something. Gives study guides for his exams. Exams are mostly short answer/essay, so you've gotta study. Overall great experience.

Comment:

Dr. Levri is a great guy and I would buy him a beer if I ever saw him at a bar. But he is a tough professor. Study guides are 3 pages long, and 2/3 of it isn't on the exam. Lots of open ended questions, and if you don't write what he's looking for, you'll get few points. Not an easy A or B.

Overall decent class- the material was kind of dry (typical bio) but he was a fair grader and very straightforward with the material. Just show up and pay attention to the lectures and you'll pass his portion of the class! Oh, and ask questions if you need, he answers them very thoroughly. You also get to go on a fieldtrip (graded) which was nice

Dr. Levri is a really nice guy and a good professor. Very knowledgeable. The class is extremely dry though. The most boring class that I have even taken. He gives study guides that are word for word the exam. Good prof., bad class.

Very good teacher, he will make you passionate about biology. He gives out study guides for tests which he pulls questions from directly making the class insanely easy. Paired with Mark Oswalt for lab its a great combo and he has renewed my faith in our science department at penn state altoona.

His lectures are pretty boring but he explains things pretty well. But his wording on his tests can be kind of tricky. Overall he is not bad and will probably be your only option for this course. Also his notetaking packets make lecture notes less boring.

Most of the test questions are directly from the notes taken in class. He gives you handouts to help you take notes. As long as you study a little bit every night, you will get an A. He is an extremely nice guy also. TAKE HIM IF HE IS AVAILABLE!
