Nice guy, very knowledgeable and enthusiastic and obviously loves Latin. Talks (English) in a really sophisticated, intimidating way that makes it difficult to understand lectures. Get past that, and you'll do fine if you're enthusiastic about Latin and really want to learn it in-depth. If you're just there to pass, you won't do well.

Had him for 201 and 202. Great professor. Sure you had to work hard at it, but it is Latin. He was so helpful both in and out of class. Could have asked for a better professor.

His Latin 101 and 102 were the most difficult classes I have ever taken. I feel like they are great if you have a background in Latin, but are almost impossible if you have none. He is a nice guy and a good man.
