He can be pretty picky when it comes to grading, but he is really clear and can be funny sometimes. Almost never has open discussions with students in class... usually just lectures, but he's good at it. If you answer or ask a question he will cut you off about 100% of the time. Gives lots of criticism on papers. Tests can be a drag.

His papers he's pretty picky about Turabian and clarity of the sentance structure, but he's not too bad. He's pretty clear in his teaching, but will only talk about a few themes from the Gk plays over and over again.

Great guy, and his class was interesting. Tests & quizzes weren't the easiest on campus but he never came out of left field with something really tough. Definitely worth taking.

Not that easy. The quizes and exam are fairly simple, but he almost never gives A's on papers. Very monotone guy, class can drag a lot of times. He's pretty interesting when it comes to ancient Greek literature and some poetry.

A pretty easy A. As long as you do the basics well and show that you're at least a bit interested in the information, the class is fine.
