She is not only a great prof but also a great person! I have taken her for legal writing and I def noticed a lot of improvement She will teach u everything there is to know about legal writing and research! She has also helped me land an internship that every other prof refused to help me w/... MUST TAKE!!!!!

Prof. Boegel is a great professor. She may give tons of homework but in the end its to benefit you. I learned this the first semester in law school. She was the only one who made me do briefs etc. Overall she is an easy grader and really funny. Def. take her.

Comment:

Professor Ellen Boegel is one of the best professors that I have ever encountered during my career at St. John's. What a lot of the previous raters do not convey is their willingness to cooperate with the teaching style of individual professors. Professor Boegel is the pinnacle. I have taken her 5 times; i wish i could've taken her more. Wonderful.

Took her for legal writing and she sucks.. she assigns homework every class and never grades it and keeps you waiting. She goes off topic a lot and never fully explains the hw assignment due. She also assigns an ASL assignment which is hell. Too much work take Chin instead.

The class is boring, but the homework and tests are extremely easy. Basic memorization and then your own opinion on the tests. A lot of extra credit opportunities too. Nice teacher, and she doesn't really care about absences either.
