Ellen is a great professor. She helps you whenever you need it. She requires her students to be in class and partake in class discussions. About 1/4 of the final grade is in attendence and participation. Had several lengthy writing assignments but she helped when needed.

Mrs. Ellen is a FANTASTIC teacher!! I was dreading having to take speech because I'm so shy...but I had so much fun! She is hilarious and has the best laugh! I LOVED this class...and would take it again if I could! She is quite possibly the BEST teacher I've had at SEMO! DEFINALTEY take a class from her! = D

She is a little funny, but ridiculous about the class. Like 1600pt of the class is specifically attendance. Also, you work on your 1st speech for like the first 10 weeks, and then only have like the last 6 weeks to get the other ones done. So, it's all really crammed at the end. I don't want to ever take her again, but I'm sure there is worse.

I really enjoyed the class. I considered it to be an easy class. The test were really easy. The first speech was hard but she gives you enough feedback that it gets easier to do better on the other speeches.

Very nice with a senes of humor. I've heard this teacher is difficult when taken for speech, but Interpersonal Communication wasn't too hard. Just have to put forth the effort.

Very nice, makes class really fun. She gives a ton of homework and papers, but as long as you do all of the assignments, it isn't hard to get an A. She assigns 3 speeches and 3 research papers in an 8-week class, but grades them both very easily. It's a fun and easy class.

She's a really nice person, but grades hard on speeches. (May not have given one A out on any of the speeches.) Most of the speeches are at the end of the semester, which doesn't give the student time to prepare well. Have to take notes from book and quizzes on each chapter.

she is a nice teacher but the speeches are all at the end of the semester. and the forst speech is a nightemare. gives study guides for the tests and picks a "?" from each sec. for the tests. grades hard on speeches. but will help, and takes work before class if you'r not going to be there.

Speech is easy until the time of the speeches--which is the end of march. Grades hard on the speeches but easy on everything else. Nice lady, but didn't really give a lot of time for students to prepare for the speeches themselves.
