Exams do not fit the material you read. Request tutoring from him because he cares only if you show you care. Make a GroupMe immediately when the course starts to have help from other students. Quizzes are long and exhausting. 5 parts to each question. He is great at math but you have to tell him to slow down. You will have to work really hard.

This was the hardest class I've ever taken only because of this professor. I would not recommend this for anyone unless you take this class by itself. Two quizzes due every week and he is a tough grader, never really specifies what he expects. Test heavy course.

Doesn't help out students and doesn't teach the students anything and just give out notes to learn ourselves

I am a 4.0 student. I do not complain about classes unless there is a serious problem. The syllabus states that 20 hours per week are necessary, but it is actually a lot more than that. The workload is punishing. The professor assigns enormous amounts of work with little educational value. Do not take this warning lightly.

DO NOT take this as an online summer class even if your life depended on it. There is WAY too much information to understand, he cuts you no breaks or slack whatsoever. The entire class is on MyStatLab and basically you need to spend at least 10 hours A DAY to even understand the amount of information he expects you to know for the exams.

This is the hardest class I have ever taken at Sam. STAY AWAY. All exams are locked down and use a microphone AND CAMERA. no notes or textbook help for exams. There is no homework- test heavy! He makes you teach yourself the entire course, no lecture notes or study guides are given. All bad reviews 100% true. I dropped ASAP with a D using a Q drop.

DO NOT TAKE FOR ONLINE CLASSES. The syllabus gives you no information, it's hard to understand when quizzes will appear (2 per week) and what chapter they are over. There is no instruction. It's just you and the textbook. Videos are provided, but they aren't based off the book, so the info is different.

This is by far one of the worst professors I have ever had. DO NOT TAKE HIM. Homework is easy but the test are the hardest I have ever taken. He gives you previous "exams" to study for but blanks out the answers. English is his second language and he is not helpful at all. STAY AWAY!!!

This is THE hardest class I've ever taken! I don't have anything against this prof. He replied to emails quicker than any other prof and he grades fast. I took it online. I recommend that if you have to take it, answer EVERY question in the book as the test questions come from them. He also makes you test with a webcam using proctor free.

Beware!!! Dr. Butar's class work is completely backwards. Each week you take a quiz & then the homework covering topics of that quiz is due the next day. Exams are nothing like the homework or the quizzes, they are worded totally different and very confusing. Dr. Butar sometimes will fail to give you all the material you will be tested. STAY AWAY!!

DON'T EVER TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!!!!!!! He is absolutely horrible, you have a quiz once a week and basically if you don't understand it he doesn't try to help you. When you ask questions he rambles off to something else. I was five points from a D and he wouldn't give it to me because I missed two days. -_-

Worst professor ever! Tests are nothing like the homework/quizzes and there is no curve given even when the majority of the class is failing! I even hired a tutor to help me in this statistics class and I still barely passed. Tough grader, does not help, worst class I have ever taken.

He's more helpful than you think. Sit in the front if you can, make friends with him. If you sit towards the back it'll be harder to understand him. This is Stats, it's not easy. I took him in class and he was nice and everything. I was looking at a C and he gave me a B. He will help you if you need it but try to pay attention.

You have to basically beg and beg for help with either an homework assignment question or understanding something from the lectures via email. He assumes you know everything just because you are taking a class online. I have never been frustrated in an online class.

This professor is awFUL, not aweSOME! He may know statistics, but he does NOT know how teach it! He only gave our class one chance to do the work. He makes tests very hard even though he has not taught you anything! Hard work alone is not enough if you take him online! It's very unfortunate that he's the only one who teaches it at Sam, online!

Beware! He is the worst professor that I have ever had! He is actually NOT helpful, at all! His communication skills are horrendous, so trying to understand his assignments are impossible. His responses are even more difficult to understand, because they have nothing to do with the question that you asked him. Consider yourself warned!

This is a hard course! No lie but this professor is awesome! You will probably need a tutor for online unless you're just awesome in math! He gives you plenty of times to make it right and get a higher grade. Plus there was a curve in my class! Good luck!

Dr. Butar is one of the nicest, most helpful professors I have ever met. He truly cares about his students. Although I took this course as a correspondence course (online), I was able to go to him for help before the final exam and he was more than happy to help me. I wouldn't say the course is easy at all but I am glad I took it with him.

I took this class in the summer. Dr. Butar is super nice and may not be easy to understand but will definitely help you if you need it. It is a difficult class if math does not come easy to you but practice makes perfect. He does a lot of practice problems in class and I would recommend doing more outside of class. You will need the textbook.
