Very nice and caring teacher. Is very understanding if you have tombs class and will help you with any confusion in her office hours. Tests were challenging but the curve brings up your grade a lot. One of my favorite teacher would definitely take her again.

A very intelligent professor here, but sometimes the conveyance of her knowledge to the students can be a little tough to understand. All information is learned during lectures so be sure to miss as few as possible and take good notes. She's always open to talking after class, and the homework is extremely helpful so take it seriously.

Fiona is so nice but not the best professor. You use Sapling an online homework site. Exams are hard, high failing rate. At least she curves !!!

There are 3 curved tests, a power point presentation & the final. I'm not too good @ tests & told her that i was banking on doing well on the project. So when i got an 85 on it & i went to her office, she said my project was correct but that she liked someones better & gave them a 100. She gave me no feedback on it and i was really dissapointed

If you're not the best test taker DO NOT take her, there were three tests, one presentation (only worth 10%) and the final. I had many one-on-one convos w/ her pleading to let me send her the extensive studying Ive done so she knows I'm trying. (30 + pages of hand written notes) In the end I needed a C+ for it to count as credit, she gave me a C...

Best teacher i've ever had!! As long as you make an effort to understand the material she will answer all your questions and more. Would definitely take this class again, learned a lot.

Comment:

Macroeconomics is a difficult subject but explains all information and is reinforced through homework. 3 exams in which are curves, a large portion of your grade is online sapling homework as well. Need to be wiling to learn about the economy and think critically, is available outside of class if needed, wants to see students do well!

She's not very helpful. I watched Khan academies macro and micro econ videos and with just those I got a B, but without the curve I had about a C, and its my major. Half the class had around a D over all and she has to curve to have classes that pass. Nice woman, but needs to revise how she teaches and grades. 70% of her class is online work.

She is a horrible professor that makes you pay 40 dollars for the semester to use an online homework system that is almost impossible, and she gives 2 tests plus a final that are also almost impossible. oh and she makes no sense when she speaks (weird irish accent going on)

She is a nice teacher, won't ask much. You'll get 3/3 on each paper just by delivering them. Passing is really easy if you just listen to class (which is hard), or you just read the news and know what a Money Market Fund is, but getting a good grade takes a lot of time. Positive overall.

The most boring class I have ever taken in my life. She knows what she's talking about but doesn't know how to teach it. Her tests are hard and she tries to trick you. Avoid this lady. And she says "um" every two seconds. Distraction!!!

I dont know what you are all talking about!! She is a great professor! It could get boring and seem hard but in the end she really just wants to help you. She curves in the end. Her online hw assignments can be tough and you most likely will do poorly but she doesnt count it that much. Just study and show up to class, and you'll be fine.
