This is my favorite class I ever have taken at Loyola. He's lectures are so funny and inspirational that it motivates you to go to his class everyday. He is one of the most funny professors I ever had. This class has easy quizzes online before every class, no midterm, 3 small 800-1000 word essays and a final. The final is simple just study for it.

He's boring, and his class is pricey too, 5+ books we had to read that all cost a good amount. stay clear

I seriously can't stress how much I disliked his class. Gives extensive, hard to follow quizzes for every class. Had to email him so many times because his answers were so unclear. Participation is huge but loves to hear himself speak so he never lets you talk. Overall very pompous calls himself a "professional theologian" just needs to chill.

Great professor. Lectures every class, little participation. Very organized and sticks to syllabus schedule. Not many papers (3). Cares about what he teaches. Quizzes before every class online on the reading. Skipping class WILL set you behind, unless you get notes from a friend. No technology or he will yell at you in front of the class :)

Such a kind man. He is very genuine and cares for his students. He is also a good teacher; the only downside is that he gives online quizzes on material we haven't learned yet. But overall, u can do well if u try. The class isn't impossible by any means! U will definitely learn from him! I would take him again for sure. He is a sweetheart.

Dr. Bauerscmidt is an amazing professor and makes the class very interesting and somewhat easy to pay attention in. He can be a tough grader but is always available outside of class for help - he definitely wants you to get a good grade. I would 100% take him again.

Dr. Bauerschmidt is very knowledgable of the subject matter he teaches. Very funny and intelligent man, and I really learned a lot in his class. Came in with minimal knowledge and acquired a lot. 3 papers and a final exam. Online quizzes before every class on the readings assigned, easy if you actually do the readings. Tough grader, but worth it.

Dr. Bauerschmidt is extremely knowledgeable of the material. He gives very interesting lectures and has a good sense of humor. The course is challenging but not impossible and you don't need any prior knowledge of theology to do well. As long as you show up and take good notes, you can do well. 4, 2 pg. papers and 1 final exam.

Dr. Bauerschmidt is a pretty good professor. His lectures can be pretty dry, but he knows his stuff and the course is pretty interesting. You have to write 6 papers for the class and there is a lot of reading, but the quizzes are relatively straightforward if you pay attention in class and do the readings. I would take a class with him again.

Dr. Bauerschmidt is a really great professor. I really learned a lot and had no prior knowledge about theology. He is straightforward with what he expects and we have interesting class discussions. I would highly recommend him.

A good teacher but can be boring at times. His lectures are good, he explains everything clearly and makes it easy to understand. There is reading every night, weekly quizzes, 2 tests and the final, and 2 papers. Make sure you do the readings it will definitely help you understand and be able to follow what he's talking about in class.

Bauerschmidt is probably one of the hardes theology teachers but he is extremely helpful! if you read and pay attention in class, the class is very easy! just pay attention and go to his office hours and you will be fine. Even if you have to read a lot, it will pay off. Amazing introduction to theology!

Bauerschmidt knows his stuff. Class was enjoyable with stories and powerpoint presentations that assisted in his lectures. Made lots of jokes some at his own expense, but that kept it interesting. Definitely have to do the readings for this class. Don't take it if you think it's going to be a easy A because it's about Sacraments. Theo is complex.

Didnt like him at all. He's a devout Catholic, and made it very obvious. Spoke about chrisianity like it was proven fact and the other religions as if they were fairy tales. Not good for a theology teacher
