Best teacher at Temple fo' sho'. Seriously I love this man. Yes, he is crazy. Yes, he is bizarre and often unintelligible. But he is so brilliant and fantastic in every way. I would follow him to Hell.

had him for religions of india.. we watched movies more than half of the classes, the other half he cancelled.. one paper due for the whole semester.. i wrote an atrocious paper for the final- legit it was terrible- aced it- flat A for the semester. like the other kids said- if you WANT TO DO work- DO NOT take this teacher !

I took his Asian Behavior & Thought class. He tends to be incoherent with his lectures. There were only 3 assignments. I got a C in midterm and a 100 on the final. The final was matching. There was a research paper we had to do. I found a book he wrote about Taoism and used it for the paper. Overall, Dr. Allen is funny and cool guy. Don't freak.

Professor Allen is excellent! He is one of the best professors at Temple. I strongly recommend taking his class. Material is easy to understand and he is definitely the coolest guy you will ever meet!!!!

Dr. Allen is a charismatic professor who is obviously devoted to his work. He facilitates an open environment of inquiry and discussion in the class room. Anyone who is interested in South Asia will benefit tremendously from his courses. Dr. Allen is one of the best instructors Temple has to offer.

Great summer class!! Only midterm and Final which he gave us the answers!! Very idiosyncratic, but also very willing to help. You are a fool if you don't take him. If you are Type-A person and actually WANT to do work, then this is not the class for you. Also NO TEXT BOOK!

He is awesome. Very neurotic but it keeps things interesting. Our textbook was an Idiot's Guide-seriously. Easy tests, by the middle of the semester he cancelled at least one class a week. Towards the end of the semester he told us he wasnt going to take attendence anymore and to not come. He's hilarious.

i thought this guys name was William Allen?? well he is easyy jus read and answer the questions at the end of each section he gives bc he takes half of those questions and he makes the test out of it. He drops the lowest grade. there is a paper its optional if u did good on all ur tests. u need to go to class he keeps track of tht. alot of movies.

This class was so easy...He is def. a little crazy at first I was like I am dropping this class I though he was going to be really hard because of the way he talks, but he is sooo easy, all of our tests were easy test but he gave us the question a head of time and said to do as many or little as we wanted and u can use u're notes during test! Easy

Easiest class i have ever had. his tests come straight from the review questions in the back of the book, he tells you what questions will be on the exam and then lets you have your notes out during the exam. hes the coolest man alive and doesnt hold class towards the end of the semester

Awesome professor and extremely helpful outside class. VERY FAIR grader, offers extra credit, but you must come to class because some of the ancient texts are hard to decifer by yourself. Please do not judge him because at first you may think he is a bit crazy, but once you get to know him he's very funny and makes learning ancient texts fun.
