Love this man! If you don't act too cool for the class, it'll be tons of fun! I learned a lot- he's passionate and knows his stuff! He also cares about his students a lot. Very personable, very friendly. Accepts late work :D HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

pretty easy class. keeps material basic which is good if you just have general knowledge. never gives homework you cant finish in class. a bit scatter brained but overall you learn from him.you perform a lot with your other class members. tests are not announced but a day ahead of time and activities are graded pretty hard.takes attendance GOOD GUY

In all honesty, if you are not a music major nor familiar with the elements of music in general, do yourself a favor and DO NOT take this class. Not only was Gary unorganized, but he was ignorrant toward his students due to the fact that he expected everyone to know what he rambled on about. I was highly disappointed in his course.

he was a great teacher, very understanding and helpful. he made sure to make us feel comfortable when we had to sing and stuff. i actually learned a lot in this class and would take him again fro another class bc hes very nice and a great teacher

AMAZING!! I love this class. We sing and he plays the piano. leave your insecurities and home and just let go and sing. learned a lot and had a great time.

Very nice professor. Show up, don't goof off and it's an A for you. Felt at times there may have been favortism (when competing for solos and such), but I'm not looking from outside perspective, and as I look back, he was probably trying to do what was best for the choir.

I can't read music, never played and still got an A in the class: Show up, pay attention do your work and u'll get an A. He is a very wise man so listen up you'll get some GREAT ideas! oh p.s: You basically get out early ALL THE time w/ days off too =-D
