He's a great person. Very smart, snappy, with it, fun, all the best things to find in a person especially a professor. Watch your grammar, ask thoughtful questions, and contribute! I took a 2:30hr night class until 9pm, I loved this class, learned a lot!

This man is possibly one of the best professors I have ever had throughout my college experience. He has some of the most involved, and thought provoking lectures. You need to definitely read the assigned work to pass. He has a lot of energy and he brings that with him to class and makes it as fun as he can. Very easy class.

Dr. Abaunza is by far one of the most brilliant thinkers I've ever met in my college career yet. I took this class at night which can be a drag but Dr. Abaunza made it enjoyable. Attendance is mandatory to passing. He gives creative examples to better understand the material which can at times be challenging. Responds to emails quickly. Take him!

Professor Abaunza is a fantastic guy. He is unbelievably passionate about philosophy which makes the course amazing. All you have to do is READ the assignments. Some are long but they are VERY worth it. Read, attend class, do good on the tests and you will get an A. I would take this course over again if I could.

One of the only classes I was excited to go to. Just shut your face for a second and listen to what this guy has to say, and think about it. Then he'll ask you some true-false questions to make sure you were listening and you'll pass! Seriously take this guy's class. I'm trying to find him for other classes too! Very interesting class.

Pretty awesome, he has a sense of humor, and he is passionate about philosophy, like seriously, no extraggerating. In this class we had 4 tests in total, no midterm or final. As long as you know whats going on in class, you should pass. Tests: multiple choice, T&F, and short essays.

Seriously cool dude, very understanding, very passionate about the subject. Literally all you have to do is show up to class and listen to him talk. Try to stay awake. He can talk forever. He gives a midterm and final, as well as two papers that are very easy if you pay attention.

Very easy. Show up to class, pay attention. Note taking and reading the books isn't necessary whatsoever. Two very easy reaction papers. He talks a lot, participation isn't required, mostly just sit and listen to him. Watch a few videos. Genuinely cool dude.

Professor Abaunza has been, thus far, the best professor I have had the pleasure to work with. He is very serious and passionate about Philosophy. If you take this class seriously, you will, without a doubt, question many things in your life. Take him if you want to really understand Philosophy and do NOT use your phone in his class. Good luck.

A refutation to the grammatically-challenged comment below: Dr. Abaunza is passionate and is capable of breaking down complex, theoretical ideas into concepts even the most inept should understand. If one's grade is suffering in his class, it is due to lack of concentration and effort; neither of which are on his part. Put away the phone and learn!

Funny, charismatic, helpful. Makes really tough comments really easy to comprehend. 2 reaction papers, and 2 tests. Reading is the homework, but I didn't do it and still got an A because he explains everything you read in class. Don't be late, don't use cell phone, and he doesn't let out early.
