George Connell is the best prof I have EVER HAD! He made my inquiry class Food & Philosophy so fun and interesting. He genuinely cares about his students and loves to have conversation in class in his own quirky, awesome way. He deserves a 6/5 star rating.

Dr. Connell was so much fun! He absolutely loves what he teaches and makes the class interesting. There was lots of reading, but most of the content was interesting. Dr. Connell does a great job of engaging students and acclimating them to college. One of the nicest profs!

Dr. Connell's Inquiry "Greeks at War" was amazing. Yes, there is a lot of reading and yes, there are going to be papers- but these papers take the place of any kind of test. He really cares about this subject matter, and it shows in the way he lectures. I would take this class again in a heartbeat!

Comment:
Dr. George Connell's inquiry was very interesting. He assigned many papers of increasing length, but some of the content is very interesting, although other content is rather dull (Watch out for Thucydides). Overall, I enjoyed it despite the challenges fought in the reading and writing assignments.

he has an incredible amount of knowledge on what he is teaching, but there is no time for daydreaming without getting extremely lost! no tests, a definite plus, but lots of papers and somewhat difficult grading. if you like philosophy, he's your guy.

I took multiple classes from this excellent professor, 100-300 level courses, including his Kierkegaard class. Of all the professors, his courses were the most difficult (he is a world-renowned Kierkegaard scholar). Attendance isn't mandatory, but the lectures and discussion are gold. His grading is brutal, though his suggestions are helpful.

Enthusiastic about the material with emphasis on class discussion and participation. Free of condecension, even when a student is blatantly wrong.
