I experienced George Kerrick in 1977-1978. Forty years later, I can write that his approach to written English made a profound, lasting impact on my life and career that continues to this day. He was demanding, fun, very creative, and in love with the art of writing. He helped me discover my own love of writing and the wonderful world of words.

This man is useless. I recommend that you not take him. My calss attendence went from 25 to 7. He does not help you when you ask for it, he wants you to go to the writing lab for help. He LOVES to speak his mind and he goes off on randon subjects, mostly politics. My addvise, don't take him. The 7 people in my class are taking it over again...

Dr. Kerrick rambles on about his accomplishments outside of his teaching career, often gets side-tracked into talking about politics, and rarely addresses the subject of the work you were assigned to write until after you have taken a test on the topic. My class started with 22 students and ended with 9.

First off i made a A in his class. I did not think that he was college material, in fact blew my mind that mtsu still employs him. Good teacher if ur a kissass cuz he does reward that. unclear in his assignments. However, the class goes really slow and is not hard to make an A as long as u do not miss class and try a lil

Great professor for those who are willing to think critically and independently. If not, then don't even waste your time taking him. But if you have a mind of your own and want to use it, SIGN UP quickly and you'll be glad you did. Please don't bash him just because you failed his course, he's also human and very much a nice person.

Took his class several years ago. Word of advice - if you expect easy than choose another professor. This guy is hard. The class went from about 40 students at the beginning the semester to about 11 at the end. Good news- he will reward students who try hard and give 100%. If you want to learn how to think critically than take his class.

He is a horrible teacher..he does not know how to grade and when he tries, he grades unfair. He has his favorites and if your not one of them don't plan on passing. I did not learn anything from him except that I have to take the class over.

This professor is NOT college material. His grades are arbitrary. He is computer illiterate and there is no syllabus of writing assignments. (He lets you know the assignment one or two classes before it is due). He contradicts the textbook. He collects your reading notes and grades them based on how well he understands them. DO NOT TAKE HIM.

If you happen to fall into this class go ahead and pre write 40 essays on D.H. Lawerence's "The Horse Dealer's Daughter." He has some strange obsession with this story and you will waste away mentally and physically while reading it over and over again. His class taught me nothing and I am become dumber for ever taking it.

He will not tolerate laziness and stupidity on his students' part. If you didn't come to learn, don't take his classes or you will be forced to learn something. Anyone who does not learn anything is not paying attention or disagrees with him but shows no backbone or reason for this disagreement. Do yourself a favor and take one of his classes and try to learn something.

DON'T TAKE HIS CLASS!!! He is the worst TEACHER (not person) ever! His classes are pointless. He talks and talks about subjects that have nothing to do with his class. His classes aren't boring and he is nice, but he is not helpfull in helping you with your papers and mistakes. He'll just send you to the writing LAB.
