She is an extremely tough grader! Barely anyone gets even a C on her papers which heavily make up your grade for the class. She gives out F's like they're nothing. Would not take her class if you do not want to ruin your GPA over a gen ed course.

This woman clearly cares about you on a deeper level: take the time to get to know her. You won't regret it. If you are an English lover and an abstract thinker, she will be one of your life long favorites. She gives you extra material besides the novels and she always wears eccentric and great outfits- never fails to coordinate earrings with shoes

Dr. Herring is the best professor I've had thus far. She opens the mundane eyes of the average student, and she genuinely cares about your internal as well as your external life. Dr. Herring teaches her students through wonderful literature how to live life to the fullest; with balance. You are expected to do your work, but it is well worth it.

I would transfer schools if I could, she's so mean and doesn't teach right, gives u a ton of homework, one time, a guy didn't sit in his seat right away when class began so she sat in a chair and didn't teach for half the period, result: not understanding material for most people, more homework instead of punishing the one student. Dr. Herring's class was amazing. The novels she chose for us to read were some of the best that I have ever read. Her insight into the true meaning of the books was extraordinary. I will do my best to take her for any other English class that I have. More professors should teach the material as she does. Just a great experience.

Definitely glad I chose Mrs.Herring my first year at Cumberlands. She's stylish, caring of her students, and an overall awesome teacher. She gets the job done and still has time to throw in some witty jokes. I wish I could take her again next semester.

What a great lady! Her class was somewhat hard until I realized that if you verbalized what she said in a different way, she'd give you an A. So I took a ton of notes on her lectures, and then took her tests accordingly. They were wicked difficult to finish in a class period. Lots of writing. If you hear high heels in Bennett, it's her.

Dr. Gina Herring is one of the most brilliant professors I have had in my educational carrer. Her insights into the true nature of literature as a living changing orginisim is teriffic. Take this professor if you want to learn, however, she does not tolerate stupidity of laziness.
