He NEVER talked about the subject!! He even said he's not going to bother talking about the subject cause that is what the textbooks are for. Some of us NEED class time. If I wanted to teach myself, I would have taken an online class! He just kept digressing from his digressions - and for some reason he would always end up talking about POOP!!

I learned a lot in this class. He has been everywhere and probably read everything, and invests in you if you try. No tests just short papers and one long paper mostly quotes. The only thing that seems to anger him is ignorance and laziness. He just wants you to think.

This guy is the worst teacher ive ever had. He literally is right out of the hippie days, when he talks about things, you don't know when he's talking about what we need to know for the class or just random things. He goes off topic always, and doesn't explain anything. Do not take his class you will fail its a waste of money

He seems nice and fun at first, but his lectures do not have ANYTHING to do with the subject I took him for. He rambles throughout the enitre class. His lectures are very unclear and do not help with much. If you want to learn anything, do what I did, read the book and take your own notes during class.

He is an interesting guy but he rambles on the whole class period. It is hard to take notes because he talks so much about everything he has done, your not sure if it will apply to the papers or not. There are no test but five papers that were all very hard for me. There was 30 students started out in the class and about five left at the end.

Class was utterly unbearable. He was not helpful to students or good at explaining assignments. He walked out of at least 4 classes. changed assignments and duedates. Somehow i got a C i think he just picks what grade he wants to give you

For me all my other Community College classes made the CC experience look & feel like High School with ash trays. This guy has traveled the world & has the slide shows and indepth library to prove it. If you level up a little bit in his classes & coverse/debate with him he really invests in you. Great professor & I learned to write great essays.

majority of my class has droped.now there are only 3 other students besides myself, no one knowswhat we're supposed to do.He speaks of things unrelated to papers, doesnt explain them; due date changes change with out us knowing.Says other class is similair to ours (IE confused students,not many left in class,poor attendance)maybe its notthestudents

Class very hard to understand. He spoke the whole class time and there aren't any class assignments. Your grade is off 5 papers. Which I have no idea what to write about. Doesn't really explain much. If you like a hard class he great for that, but for me I need a easier class where the teacher explains things better.

Come to class, listen to his stories and enjoy him. I found him very interesting and caring. He taught me more about wriing than any teacher EVER has. I learned so much from him! He is tough but the pay-off is worth it. I get all A's on every paper, in every class from what I learned from him.

I took him a few years ago...seriously one of the hardest teachers I've ever ran into. Got kicked out of his class several times for not having my stuff read or for not even understand what I read ... (I’m not a person to get kicked out of class haha) HOWEVER, I did learn a good deal from him... would I recommend him...not to the average student. If your not about going into English don't take him...

I really like Hans, but found the class too chaotic, without clear assignments and with a focus on humanities (I learned more humanities in this english class than I did in my humanities class!) He is a unique character, but better suited for classes other than English composition
