Dr. Vollmer-Snarr taught things very clear, and I found lectures interesting. Tests were fairly easy, however there was no curve. Only complaint was that I took it Spring term and she took WAY too long on the beginning chapters and didn't really teach us the last 2 chapters at all, making the Final a bit of a killer for me. Overall is great though!

I had the biggest crush on my ochem teacher. Sorry, but she's a babe. And she cared about what she taught and about the students. Got an A in the class.

I did most of my learning for this class my just straight studying the textbook. Do the class pre-reading, and lecture is much more understandable. I thought she was a great professor. The class is weighed heavily on the exams which are all free-response. She curves the final grades of the class, which helped me go up 2/3 of a letter grade.

Dr. Vollmer-Snarr is not a helpful teacher, she rambles in class and will teach material that you are never tested on and are way above this classes comprehension. I hired a tutor and still received a C. Do not take this from her, I sat in on Wood's lectures and he was MUCH better.

I wish somebody would have told me how in-comprehensive she was as a teacher. Everyday I left chemistry so confused and even hired a tutor but didn't help much bc I couldn't even figure out what we talked about in class. Do not take it from her

Excellent lectures and overall a good teacher. But don't be deceived. In class she said she would only curve if it was to your benefit, but she lied! She actually curved the class down so that 95 and above was an A and only 91.5 and above was an A-. Outrageous grading! Hardly anybody got an A.

She is pretty good, you're not going to get an easier ochem class. she can get easily confused in the middle of lecture, but her lectures are generally good and the tests are super easy (for ochem). wish she was teaching the second half.

She is great! Can be a little ditsy at times, but is super nice and very willing to answer questions. Lectures coordinate very well with the book, so stay up on the reading and you'll definitely understand what's going on. Really loves Chemistry, so it helps you get more into it too. I wish she were teaching 352 next semester!

She loves chemistry and wants her students to love it just as much. She is very understanding and very willing to answer any questions that you might have. She does tend to get flustered sometimes, and this can confuse students. But if you are reading the textbook, you won't have much of a problem.

I also took this class WINTER 2009. She didn't know how to help students that didn't understand the material. She expected us to know and learn a lot of stuff that wasn't in the book. Unless you're planning on studying a few hours a day, don't take this class from her.

Took her Winter 2009. It was her first time teaching this class, and expected us to know what her 351 students were learning! She is nice and willing to answer questions, but not very clear. Tests were killer, and class was a snore fest. Homework was helpful, though. I recommend Wood who has more experience with this class.

It's a hard class, but her passion for o chem makes it a lot easier. She does a great job and goes above and beyond to help make things clear, especially if you go and ask her for help one on one. Watch out for the tests, they are completely ace-able, but only if you study hard. I'd definately recommend her for o chem.

She can be a little bit scatterbrained at times, but she really knows her stuff, and likes to help and make class fun. I have never seen someone write stuff on the board as fast as she does, so taking notes is just keeping up sometimes.

Very good teacher. She teaches the principles of OChem without going overboard with memorization or details. Fair tests. Do the practice tests and homework and you should do fine.

I'm a junior at BYU and before this class I had a 4.0. I got a B. It's a 3.97 now. It's tough & it sucks. If a B is all you want, it's doeable. She doesn't have a packet or anything so you just show up and scramble to write down everything she's writing down which appears to be gibberish until you spend 10 hours studying. Good luck. Not recommended
