I have taken Larry for many classes. he took a wallflower and turned her into a GREAT Improve Actor. His auditions are tough, his pet peeve is students without respect and coming tardy. He knows the industry and he can guide you.

GReat class for "newbies" (aka freshmen). Professor Hemingartner and Juan are very knowledgeable in the arts of theatre. The class is based on theatrical plays and books. Very interesting, fun class. I recommend this class to anyone who is interested in theatre or not. Thanks

Larry Hetimgartner is one of the most amazing MEN let alone teachers ive ever met. he gets to know you personally he encourages you and gets you excited about theater. taking his class.. reignited a passion for theater and acting. his assistant is so funny and laid back. theater has really become a 2nd family. GET INVOLVED you wont be sorry!

If you are taking this class to learn something about theatre don't bother! You watch tv episodes from the 80's and are told to write about them! Take a theatre class at El Camino with Jensen, then you will learn something. If you want an easy A and don't care much about theatre, then maybe this class is for you.

He has a mouse problem in his classroom (auditorium). He's a very nice man who answered my questions, but he takes on too many students. His assistants do all his work and collect papers for him because he has 200-250 students. I liked his lectures and reading "I Never Sang For My Father." He's a nice man and you should get an A if you study.
