I'm a straight-A student & so far I've gotten low scores on every quiz! He is NOT clear on what to study. His syllabus has no general plan, doesn't follow the book in order. He rambles on in his lectures. Told the class to study beginning of Ch 4 for the next quiz & when he gave it to us, it was on Ch 5! Completely unorganized. horrible curriculum.

So many quizzes. So much reading. Unfair grading. He tests you on things he's never even mentioned. DO NOT recommend to anyone.

Professor Weber an awesome teacher. There are no power points or videos to watch, just Professor Weber up there being an engaging teacher, informative and fun. No need to buy the text book if you are into listening to his lectures, which are great. He is really good at painting a visual of the past. Take good notes and the class should be a breeze

Dr. Webber lectures all class on relevant material. I DID NOT READ THE BOOK. but took great notes and actually listened during lecture and GOT AN A boths time i took him! Don't expect a good grade if you are passive and can't listen to lectures. He is almost like a story teller and fills you in on all the context.

Professor Weber is a good professor, but reading is mandatory. As long as you read the chapters, what he lectures on makes complete sense. there were days that i didn't read and i was so bored in class. what he lectures on in class is not always what is on the test, but i promise if you read you'll be golden!

I enjoyed this class very much, Weber is a great professor. just take notes and read the book and you'll do good on the quizzes. For the final i recommend reading all the chapters you've gone over and pick the essay.

If you need notes in order to study for quiz, this teacher is a bad choice. You have to read the book on your own, Classes are boring, he talks way too much non stop, there is no perfect answer for the quiz, he always finds mistakes, not recommended AT ALL.

I wouldn't take him. he's a pretty cool teacher at first but now UGH! he talks a lot & gets off topic! you're better off reading the book then listening to him. he never tells you what type of quiz you're taking multiple choice or essay. JUST DONT TAKE HIM IF YOU WANT TO PASS!

He is a great teacher. You need to take notes for attendance is not mandatory but you will need the notes for the quiz plus a notebook is part of your grade. You do not have other hw that read the book. Participate, take notes and you will be fine.

Weber is very difficult to take. Here's why: he does not use study guides, he randomly chooses to make an exam either multiple choice or essay (without telling you beforehand), and he often drifts away from the main point, into topics that may not be relevant to the chapter. Turning in notes is also required. Absolutely no extra credit assignments.

DO NOT TAKE THIS COURSE WITH HIM IF YOU WANT TO PASS. The classroom is cold as heck. He thinks he's funny. His lectures are all over the place, he could be talking about Washington and skip to today's use of a dollar. He only gives quizzes, no homework or extra credit. So many people were failing his class he had to grade on a curver.

It helps to love American History to ace this class. I took this course in 1998 and Dr.Webber was a great professor. Outstanding lectures and interesting anecdotes. He is NOT an easy grade. You have to earn you stripes in this course. You need to work hard. This College level work, not middle school. Thanks again Professor. R Butler

He's kinda a weird guy. Kinda funny and expects you to laugh at his jokes. Overall he's ok. Need to take good notes. I could've had a B in his class but I chickened out because of the essay part for the final. I chose the multiple choice test. o well....

He is very thorough. If you don't pay attention in class, don't take notes, and don't show up, you will not pass the class. This is one of the first REAL college classes I've taken. He is an excelent teacher, and he made a subject that I couldn't stand very interesting and enjoyable.

if you want to get a sure A, I suggest DON"T TAKE HIM!!! he gives very hard quizzes and a lot of essays. The final exam is so hard. You have to choose between an essay exam or a 100-points multiple choice. If you choose the multiple choice exam, the highest grade you can receive is C. I'm so lucky i got B in his class.

Good teacher. Essay or multiple choice quizzes (his choice). One of the few teachers in which students learn something. Lecture is good. He's old so has a lot of personal stories in history. Not always on pace with readings and lectures, however his quizzes always refer to something we've covered either in class or in the book.
