Currently taking him for SWRK. I could learn more from the textbook. He is a nice guy and has had an interesting career, but I feel like I am not learning in his class and wish I could put the time into something else. His classes go on and on. Specific grader, takes off huge percentages for not following outlines, doesnt value critical thinking.

Could not understand what the sylbus was asking needs to be revised. You do all the reading and learning I don't see a point going to class, us as students did all the talking and the learning. Never bothered putting up notes on the board eaither. Only first week of class. No trustworthy.

TAKE HIM!! THE BEST SOC PROFESSOR!! THE CLASS IS NOT AN ENTIRELY EASY A BUT IT IS DEFINITELY OBTAINABLE. ONE PAPER, THREE TESTS, AND 3 AGENCY REPORTS. PRETTY EASY STUFF.. JUST READ THE BOOK, ALL THE QUESTIONS ON THE TESTS COME OUT OF IT. PLUS, HE GIVES YOU THE SHORT ANSWER QUESTIONS BEFOREHAND. NICEST PROFESSOR EVER.

DeBose is a great prof. his class is sooo interesting.u actually learn. tests are VERY tricky, confusing, and long..but he is an overall cool prof. take him if u want to learn, do not if you hate doing work

A lot of papers, also an internship. He doesnt respond to e-mails, and when you ask him a question in class, he tells you to e-mail him and the cycle begins all over again. Tests are hard a lot of work, but he is the only one teaching this class so at least people know what to expect.

Debose is the best sociology proffessor on this campus. I am a 3rd year and this is the most intresting soc class i ever took. His lecture are very intresting ! he dose expect some what a lot of work. His exam are fairly tricky. you need to acutually read the book to get an A, and C if u just study the notes. always willing to help, just ask ! ! !

Very demanding, however, he is a cool teacher, he is funny and very interested in the material. He brings real life examples to his lecture. He has guest speakers, movies...I enjoy going to class, but the work is hard and he curves the tests. Go to class, do the homework, pay attention and you will get an "A"

He expects alot from his students. Not a really hard class, but challenging. His lectures are interesting. His exams are somewhat tricky, you have to read the book, study guides are not all he tests on. Paper is a big chunck of grade. The class should be easy to pass is you work to get a good grade. Debose is always willing to help.

This teacher is ridiculous. He has guest speakers teach his class, assigns tons of busy work, and does not even respond when students e mail him. Tests are not that hard, but assignments are very time consuming. It's a lot of work and you will probably not be able to get an A.

He is a demanding professor. He does bring reality to the subject. You may not have a choice as to whether or not you have to take him, so if you have to take him, read the book, take notes, do the work, and you will pass the class. It is not an easy class.
