Excellent class. The information learned in this class is immediately applicable and useful in the real world. The lectures are prerecorded and provide clear understanding of the topic. The programming projects are difficult, but ultimately help you learn by forcing you to examine the details of implementaion, rather than simply memorizing theory.

Dr.Rhee really helps you understand difficult concepts and topics through his online lectures, though I wish they were more updated. Both the programming projects and exams were fairly difficult, so don't slack off in class! Be sure to keep in contact with not only Dr.Rhee, but the TA as well. My TA helped me out a lot!

Do not be swayed because this class is online. Dr. Rhee gives excellent lectures, and is more than willing to make time to meet with you. The programming projects are very useful, and I learned a lot from them. The tests can be a bit challenging, but don't let that sway you from the course, as they don't count for much. Take this class!

The course is extremely well designed. The professor emphasizes hands-on experience, and hence there are a lot of challenging programming assignments and lab-work involved. Just finished the final. Dr Rhee is definitely a good prof. He makes an usually tedious protocol course very interesting. Course load is very heavy. You have to code when other students are watching movies. Hope Dr Rhee gives us good grades because we put so much effort on the course. But anyway, it is definitely a good course worth taking.

Dr. Rhee is one of my fav prof. He wants us to learn the concept instead of remembering things. Sometimes his lectures are vague, but it get us think about the problems. Awesome/difficult projects, lively class, difficult exams. His course really helped in getting internship. Strongly recommend his course and look forward to study his course again!

Not a school boy's cup of coffee. Dr.Rhee expects you to know the networking concepts before attending this course. You should have good programming skill as well. You need to put your 100% to do well in this course. The labs and projects in this course are demanding, excellent and are challenging. Dr. Rhee was excellent in handling this course.

Dr. Rhee does justice to his role as good professor, if you are willing to be a good student. The projects in CSC 557 are easier, but challenging. The course is an excellent one from research perspective as he dicusses a lot of research papers. Professor is very approachable and expects his students to be very interactive and involed in his class.
