Comment:

She was a good teacher who gave good advice about writing papers, but was a little too picky in my opinion. She grades you souly on your papers and whatever grade you get on your paper is the grade you have in the class until the next paper is due, i didnt like that.

Your grades depend on papers. No other homework or exam. Very complex grading. I could never get past a 78% on my papers no matter what I did. She talks a lot about herself. Lectures are boring and tiring. If you're up for a challenge then take her, otherwise, find another professor. She does want you to learn and understand the material.

Should have came on here before taking her. Your grade solely depends on your papers. With her grading scale your 84% paper would be a letter grade C. Expect a of of critique based on her personal opinions. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.

she absolutely is horrible! All her class is based on is essays. That is all that is graded. If you have her as your teacher all I can say is good luck, you will need it!

I enjoyed having her class. Why? I got to know her. She's a very nice woman and wants her students to pass. She is the 'stuck-in-her-ways' type, but once I learned her perspectives, I understood why she grades so harshly. Find something in common, talk to her, ask for help, don't take no for an answer. That being said, good luck getting above a B!

Not gonna lie, I thought I would never make it to the end of her class. I finished the class with a high B, one of the highest in the class. It's going to be hard, but it IS possible. Get as much help from the learning commons as possible. She is a tough grader, but she does care. She made me a better writer!

She assigns 4 essays for the semester and is not very clear with the grading criteria. She requires you to make appointmenets with tutors to look at your rough drafts instead of doing her job. She gave me good pointers on one essay, but refused to help for any others. Aside from the essays, she CONSTANTLY gives long boring comma lectures.

The worst teacher I have ever had. Makes up her own rules for use of commas, even the tutors won't correct the use of them because she thinks different about them than everyone else.

She is a tough teacher, I see a tutor twice a week and she goes over our papers with us. I have got two 88%, the highest grade in the class. This class is not impossible and is very good for preparing you for the future.

This class is super easy if you are a very good writer. If you're not one of these people, be prepared to work. Grade basically depends upon the 4-5 papers she has you write. She has many opportunities in class to go up and review your papers with her. Tough paper grader though; tells the class she gives out hardly any A's. Lectures are BORING.

If you are at all interested in literature this is a great class. You will learn how to analyze literary works, and you will have an opportunity to read and discuss short stories, poetry and a couple of plays. In this class, grading is tough, but learning is easy.

Absolutely terrible. We are allowed to ask her questions on our paper and she will check our mistakes and I still get a "C" on my paper! Since she's so old school she uses the old grading system, which 2 of my papers should have been B's. Do not take her. You've been warned.

Absolute worst teacher I've ever had in college, high school, anything. The fact that this woman has a job is astounding. Any college student of average intelligence is more qualified to do her job than she is. Boring, unintelligent, doesn't allow you to have your own opinion, I could go on. Just everything that makes a teacher bad. Don't take.

I should've walked out the first day after she claimed "I've only given out one A in my entire career". Why take a class if you're already set up for failure because of the professor? Because of her, my GPA was compromised, especially when receiving A's on papers in all other classes. I strongly advise when signing up for class, NOT TAKING HER!!!!!

She seriously is horrible. Do not take this class. She gave me a flat out zero on a paper that was on time and the length that it needed to be. always corrected mistakes but was never good enough. you've been warned.

Most boring class ever. She'd go over rough drafts with us and help us fix our mistakes before turning in the final paper but even after fixing everything she would find more "problems" with our writing. Never recieved higher that a C on any of my papers and neither did anyone in my class.

I hated this class. Her lectures was so boring & you didn't learn anything from them. You were given almost weekly papers. No one in my entire class ever received anything higher than a C. Some of her comments on my papers were just rude and not helpful. Don't expect to get higher than a C in her class!
