It's a class of mostly seniors so she's pretty chill about assigned work and grading. The tests are hard to prepare for because she isn't really clear about what's going to be on it, but if you're thorough and do all the readings you'll do alright. The lectures are pretty long and arduous.

Comment:

Janet Smith is one of the finest professors at CMC. She throws the kitchen sink at you in terms of resources (textbook, PowerPoints, practice problems & solutions) that enable you succeed in her course. Her lectures are very focused. She is an extremely pleasant person and I learned a great deal about valuation of new ventures in her course.

This class is very helpful- but as usual, I've found econ to be common sense+quant skills. Smith helps you apply both. She is not the most profound, but she is very clear.
