Personally I liked her because the work wasn't that difficult for me, but I could see why other people dislike her. She talks a lot during class and it can begin to drag. The way she wanted things didn't make sense but if you understood what she was trying to say writing was a breeze. She critiques very hard and isn't the most easygoing.

Shes such a a nice lady but very vague as a teacher. The assignments were vague and had nothing to do with lectures. pApers ended up brings 18 pages long and the final longer. If you get her, its not the worst thing on earth, but just Be prepared To work

This professor was so boring but graded very easy. You will pass if you show up and hand everything in. You should also participate at least a little. She is very focused on Multi-Culturalism even if that is not the topic of the class. Very liberal but I personally liked that.

Ok so Janet Yedes probably gives more work then any other Professor at Kean. Forget all hope of getting out early cause she'll go to the exact last minute. She makes everyone participate and their are like 6 different paper assignments. I'd rather have a test honestly. She made social justice something I know longer enjoy talking about sadly.

She gives a lot of work. I handed everything in and passed everything and she still failed me and half the class. Her grading system is unclear. When I asked for reasons as to why I got the grade, she made up excuses that didn't make sense. I was unable to graduate because of her. Do not take her.

Pros: Gives you until the end of the semester to turn in late/missed assignments, does not penalize for late assignments, extra credit on tests Cons: tests are based on your understanding of the reading given Tips: turn in every assignment, even if it's weeks late she'll take it and not lower your points, read thoroughly, and always go to class

Rate my professors keeps deleting my review, but it's worth it to try again to save other poor souls. I wasted a ton of money and time on a class in which the professor didn't deliver a single lecture. A bunch of grad students listening to each other read homework out loud all semester. Learned nothing. A ton of pointless work. Truly awful.

Professor Yedes can be a little long winded but it's just because she knows SO MUCH she has a lot to say. She's very encouraging, gives good feedback, and her door is always open. At first I thought she was arrogant and unclear but really she's insanely qualified and has high expectations but at the same time shows you how you can achieve them.

Great professor. All the hate comments need to go. I got an A- in her class handing in all the work 2 weeks before the semester ended. I advise you not to do that but shes a good grader and her classes are fun. Shes real good!

do not listen to any of the negative comments! she is such a sweet lady and She talks a lot about her own experiences but she means well. There is homework every week but you can hand it in whenever you want as long as by the end of the semester-basically all opinionated questions. There were 4 papers and no tests or quizzes.

Do not take this professor. How she became a teacher is beyond me. She is disorganized and forgetful. Grading system is inconsistent. She is notorious for failing students without giving them the slightest clue on why or provide an explanation for improvement. One of the worst professors I have ever had. I truly regret registering for her. RUN AWAY

Very intelligent professor. I really enjoyed her class, and I learned a lot about research. Her exams are hard with no multiple choice but if you explain your answers she'll give you points for them. She gives a lot of papers but it's worth doing them because it'll boast your grade. Fair teacher with an interest in teaching. Take her class.

She is very good. You learn in her class. A lot of homework, but you really get your money's worth. She's helpful. My class was Senior Seminar. Again very good class easy & hard, but you learn. Test are hard, but it's what you have learned through books and homework assignments If you have a poor grade she gives you a fair chance with X credit.

I will never take Yedes again. This class has the potential to be an exciting fun-filled learning experience, but Yedes does not know how to teach. She gives pointless tangential writing assignments every single class and her grading is inconsistent. She also is extremely unclear about the assignments she gives. My advice: STAY AWAY FROM HER!

Janet is one of the best professors at Kean. She was the professor to remind me why I am in school and the joy that it is to learn and share with others. The negative comments are definitely misplaced here. She is an excellent teacher with much to learn from. She doesn't shove textbook mat. down your throat she teaches you HOW to learn anything.
