His tests are VERY HARD, all essay. Make sure you really study the topics in detail. No extra credit . Was very hard to stay above water.

Kind of on your own in this class. went to him a few times with no success in getting things any clearer. I believe I would have done better if I had taken this class with another teacher.

He isn't the most outgoing person and is a little awkward, but nice and very enthusiastic about management. Sense of humor. Says he is a harder grader than other business teachers but the tests are essentially taken from the outlines he writes on the board every day. Got a 100% once i figured that out. Never needed the text. Amazing teacher.

Great professor. Skipping class won't work for him. Also he gives very good lectures that keep just about everyone's attention. His one drawback is he doesn't provide true study guides (at least for this class). It was a new course so that may change. He is very approachable and gives fantastic feedback. Would take again in a heartbeat.

You litterly have to know everything from the lectures in order to do well on the tests. There's no homework so your grade is pretty much based off the pop quizzes and the two exams.

Anstine is a really nice guy and truly tries to make his class fun. His teaching methods are not the best and does not give homework. That sounds nice but it makes his class grades only consist of group projects and tests. One bad test really hurts your grade.

BUS162 is a class if you pay attention, participate, stay off electronics, and read often you'll be fine. Every day before class he writes an outline on the board, as those are the topics to study for the exam. Study well, and you will get a good grade on the test. He gives plenty of partial credit.

Comment:

Anstine's lectures can be tough to hang with. He moves very quickly through material and relies on you to practice it for the tests. His tests are tough but he does give partial credit on most problems. If you have never taken a statistics class before I would recommend another professor, but overall he is a good guy and will help if you ask.

You really have to work for it. He is not a bad professor unless you choose not to try or put any effort into it. He is really helpful with questions if you just ask or go talk to him during office hours. This is a class you have to work for. This is college after all. Really nice guy and should be given a higher rating on this site.

LOVE HIM! one of my favorite teachers at NCC. People who do not like him do not work hard to get a good grade. If you study material is easy to learn. He is a great guy and really cares for the students. 3 tests and 2 group projects.

it was an okay class but his tests are similar to the notes you take in class except that the exams are usually short answers. Sometimes when you put something in your own words, he deducts points just because he doesn't understand the way that you describe something. Overall, he's a tough grader.

Make sure to write down everything he writes on the board and take notes as he talks. He likes answers that are very similar to his definitions on the tests. By doing that, I never had to read the textbook. I thought he was entertaining, and I would take another class with him.

Terrible teaching style. Very disorganized. Hard to understand his grading. Doesn't know much about different cultures but professes to. If you know a second language or have lived abroad, he feels intimidated by you and then grades harder. Group project is a nightmare, we have been given zero class time to complete.

One of my all time favorite professors at NCC! Yes, his class his hard. There is a lot of information but if you study it WORD FOR WORD how he taught it, you will do just find. He knows what he's talking about and teaches it well.
