Comment:
Overall this class was fine, but Burnett has a unique ability to make things as confusing as possible. From hilariously over-complicated methods to pass around quizzes for grading to offering 10 year old example assignments from when the requirements were completely different. Grading is also very subjective, we had to bargain for points at times.

Comment:
Prof. Burnett is a good teacher, but she's a little spacey at times and sometimes doesn't make much sense. The class, however, was incredibly boring. I understand the usefulness it offered, but I feel like it could have been structured a bit differently to make it less of a nap-time class. Outside of due dates and test days, I rarely attended.

I had a lot of fun in this class. Professor Burnett brought a lot to the table from her research and this improved our understanding of usability engineering. Student projects were interesting and roughly every two weeks was a different stage in our project development, resulting in a presentation and Q/A session. Monday testing from readings.

This is one of the worst professor ever for me. She does not teach, and she wants you to work on a project that she does not take in consideration for final grades(she does, but it does not feel like it).

I don't know why she has such a bad score on here. Maybe she's improved. She's very helpful and clear. She holds your attention better than lots of CS profs. She has quick feedback on everything.

Taught less than 5 days worth of class. Students taught the rest. Appears she doesn't read the homework, instead grades based on how many keywords you use. Not interested in student's learning, just wants her research reaffirmed. Mention cognitive dimensions in each homework and you'll do fine, otherwise you won't.

Very vague, but to the point I question if she knows what she is teaching all the time. Website often had misleading or mismatching information. Asking for clarification or pointing out a grading mistakes are not tolerated very well. A decent prof, but not great.

This class is supposed to be vague, thats the point. She's a nice teacher who is willing to help you, you just have to ask.

poor handwriting, lectures kinda boring; it's all design & stuff. A CS class w/ 0% code isnt going to be fun. She teaches the important stuff well, but the workload is Insane. We turned in a TON of work throughout the course. Quiz & MT are too picky, but final's optional this term!! She's nice lady.

The worst teacher ever. Her way of teaching/ notes are horrible and yet she expects you to be very clear and consice about your papers and exams. NO PARTIAL CREDITS FOR EXAM QUESTIONS!!! .Avoid her by all means.

She won't explain assignments in any detail and expects you to figure it out. I never found myself learning anything in class and had to get it all from the book. Avoid her.

After taking two classes from Burnett, I have this advice for you: Avoid her if at all possible. Unfortunately, if you are a CS major that is very hard to do.

She is the worst. No one understood the material of the course because she corrects the book and changes her mind again. And does not help during office hours. But she will let you look at her answer keys if you fail her exam. (It is pointless to go!!) She is the Worist and makes everything seem ok.

The assignments were not very clear. You had to read between the lines on what she wanted and even then you couldn't figure everything out. She never posted examples or anthing, and her lectures were extremely boring plus she wrote the entire class times... very boring...Be prepared to sleep..

She has a hard time deciding what the standards of a document would be, and gives no sample documents on how it should look by the time a document is due. Also very strict on grading exams, expect to fight for every point you should have gotten

She is one of the worst profs I have had. She is unclear on what assignments need to have in them and dances around answering questions by students in class. Was not even around for the first two weeks of class and missed her own midterm. Even her TA falls asleep in class.

She is lost, and this results in the students being lost. She wants us to write thorough papers, but she doesn't know what they should include. Yet another OSU Prof. who shoudl be seeking new employment.

Comment:
Ambiguity of the material allowed for too much interpretation. Everything she writes is directly from the book, but summarized. No leniency about regrading homework/tests. "Even though you are right, but that wasn't one of the conditions we graded on... no points." is directly quoted from her.
