Comment:

Dr. Mather is pretty hard to get along with at first but he can be funny and he really knows his stuff when it comes to Parametric Modeling. His class is hard but if you pay attention and ask questions often it isn't really that bad. If you slack off or skip class don't expect a good grade that is for sure.

Comment:

Dr Mather is the best professor in his department. He is extremely knowledgeable and gives you real world examples for issues people come across. The students that come out of his class compared to other professors are overall better students and progress more. The people on here who didn't like him are super lazy people who can't take a joke.

Dr. Mather is very knowledgeable in his field, but like any engineer, is often very "scatterbrained". In all honesty, he's a person that people either really like or really hate. It's his teaching style, which I personally quite like. And he's always willing to learn from students how to use new techniques and tools in the software.

Good teacher, knows his stuff. The other people here were obviously afraid to ask him questions because he will answer ever one of them you have. He does go pretty quick but he will stop if you actually speak up and say you need help

He has lots of knowledge but he doesn't add to anything that could be found within a standard how to use Inventor book. Also gives out help only to those he likes. I seen him passive over students for those that he likes. Seems like like you just buy a how to book and get the same result.

He is very strict, and hard and fast paced, but he is very good at what he does. It may be hard, and you may not like him personally, but if your at all serious about college youll take him, hes the best CAD professor in Penn College in terms of knowledge by far. It will be worth it taking his class becasue he will prepare you for the real world.

This man brings shame to the college, is very biased an unreliable teacher. He seemed like a decent professor since he was a knowledgable drafter but he is far too introverted and emotional unintelligent to be teaching serious students. I would avoid him.

Mr. Mather was a good instructor. I took almost all of my CAD courses for the two year program (00-02) and now I make 80K/year working for the Aluminum Castings Industry. He teaches you REAL LIFE situations. Not High School BullS**T. Lay-off the guy. I especially liked his effort in helping me with the redesign of the Remington Electric Razor.

his classes are not hard. hes a moron(i.e. "uh i dont remember how to do this." he teaches inventor all the time. he writes tutorials for autodesk... and he cant remember how to find the perimeter of an object. give me a break. inventor certified doesnt mean anything but 'i can use the help screen really well' sorry excuse for a professor

He could be a good teacher, however it is like he doesn't even care about his student. He seems to like other students more. Some students might like him but I don't. At least he knows his subject. He was not helpful at all. I think he should quit.

Some students might actually like Jeff Mather. He certainly knows CAD and mechanically engineering, however he is quite anti-student & a hard ass. It's not too tough too get by the class, it's just he makes the class a real pain in the ass. Most students wish he would quit.

I find he is a good prof. He helps those who ask for help and that are willing to try for themselves first. You have to show effort in this class. He treats you like you would get treated in the work force. You listen you learn. You don't and it's hopeless.

Most people find him uninteresting and boring. I find him to be a bad teacher thats hard to understand. His personality sucks. Some students do however find him useful and he knows his subjects. However he is way to introverted to relate to students who want to learn the subject if they know little.
