I didn't like 3 tests and 2 papers only adding to 100 total points. But if you pay attention and take good notes you'll do fine. I enjoyed her lectures. She doesn't bog you down with terms and definitions. The class has a good deal of discussion and debates. Her personality and the topics will ensure for a good class if you go in w/ the right mind.

Mrs. Fisher was an amazing teacher. She was very hard but very helpful. She is very clear about the material. If you aren't willing to work then don't take her class.

Prof Fisher is a great professor! She knows so much about every subject. Go to class and take notes on what she writes on the board because its the important info. Print out the questions before going to class and she will lecture about the answers. Only 2 papers and 3 exams. Exams are straight forward. GO TO CLASS

Comment:

Good teacher. She is very helpful and knows her stuff. Her grading consists of 2 papers and 3 tests (20% each) but it is't hard to get a decent grade on the tests. The most important thing is to come to class and take decent notes and the rest will take care of itself.

This isn't an easy class, but she makes it interesting. Readings are difficult but she explains them well. There are 2 papers, and she tells you what essays to expect before both exams. Prepare answers in advance and you'll do well. She really encourages discussion but doesn't require it - which is great for us quiet people! I'd take her again.

Attendence not mandatory but dont miss or you wont do well. She tells you exactaly whats on all 3 tests but it she doesnt always cover everything well. she loves discussion. you can deff get an A if you work hard. She grades hard on papers. I didnt enjoy this class

Her class was forever long!!!! It is a Lecture class, but she loves discussion. I didnt enjoy this class, but i guess i just dont like philosophy. You really have to work hard There are 2 papers, 3 tests, no exam, no homework, just reading, but i never read and i did fine.

Loved her class. If you like to argue and love analyzing everything you'll love her. Her test are straight forward and come from the notes. Papers are a little more difficult...i was cocky on the first and got a D but i fixed that and got a B on the second and A's on both tests...also if you need help she's more than willing.

Dear God save me from boredom! This was, hands down, one of the worst classes I've ever taken in MY LIFE. A lot of the reading material sucks because it's so boring you fall asleep reading it, and all she does is stand up and blab about what we just read for over an hour. Save yourself... DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. Oh, and her tests are ****ing RIDIC!

Didn't exactly love the class but she is great. If you do not understand something be sure to go to her office hours. After getting an F on my 1st paper I started seeing her during office hours and it helped so much! She tells you exactly what she wants for papers and tests. Again if you are hving trouble go see her! Shes more than willing to help!

i loved this class. if you are interested in the material it is an easy A! there are only 2 papers and 2 tests, but all really cut and dry. this class is all about regurgitation. if you go to the lectures, and take GOOD notes, it is no problem. she is a great teacher and will always answer any questions you have. TAKE THIS CLASS!!!

I hated this class. It wasn't bad in the beginning when we were discussing older philosophers, but as we got more modern it took a turn for the wors. She is SO boring! It may as well be a lecture class. All she does is talk the entire time and half the time you cant' understand the readings she assigns and can't follow for class. DON'T TAKE HER!!!

She's sometimes vague, and is easily distracted. But if you ask for clarification, she'll try her best. She grades fairly, and tries to keep students' interest. The subject matter doesn't always allow for that, though.
