Dr. Merbler is one of my favorite professors. He is extremely likeable and helpful as is the entire department--no doubt a result of his leadership. I gained a lot of new insight through his teaching. He is defintely a role model.

Dr. Merbler is very humorous in a thoughtful and philosophical way. He also understands the lack of interest in students having to take a research course in special educ., but he keeps the work load manageable and is very flexible. He loves students who respond to his humor. He has accomplished a lot in life - very knowledgeable and likable!
