Jessica is such a caring professor. She really wants everyone to succeed and encourages students to ask questions when they don't understand. She tries to make herself very accessible by having several different office hours, making more when there's an upcoming exam, being available via email, and the online platform she uses. Highly recommend.

Jessica tries to get all students to participate in class. First she asked us to submit questions from the reading so she could target her lesson plan. Then she went around the classroom to give the next step in a problem, but we could abstain without feeling awkward. She graded quickly. Once she brought in pringles to demonstrate a saddle point.

she was really nice and clear. I went to her office hours for extra help because sometimes the material was confusing and she was always really able to explain things to me patiently. she is very invested in her students.

Professor Sidman is awesome. She really cares about her students' success. While she will challenge you to think outside the box, she is also very available to help you out when you get stuck and gives lots of opportunities for learning. Her lectures are clear and well-organized.

She get so excited about certain math concepts in class and it makes me more interested in what were doing. I think she is really great. She may seem intimidating at first but she is very nice and will help you especially if she sees that you are putting forth effort.

Professor Sidman's class was always one of my favorite math classes to go to, lessons were very easy to comprehend and she made sure that none of us would fall behind. I definitely recommend her and hope to take more of her classes in the future. She's amazing!!

She is the bomb dot com. She's super nice and lets you know what the class entails from the very beginning. She loves getting questions and go to her office hours she's really helpful. She also puts a lot of the notes from class and stuff online so if you do happen to miss you won't get super behind.

First off she is so stylish! I lover her outfits and they totally suit her personality. In addition to being trendy she is also a great professor. She excells at communicating ideas to students and is very helpful during office hours.

She seems intimidating but she's actually very nice and one of the things i really like about her is she really cares about math and gets so excited about concepts which i feel is so important because then it gets others excited and into math.

Professor Sidman is super helpful and is very invested in her students. She makes herself available to answer questions and holds office hours daily. She encourages questions and takes the time to go through problems step by step with students. She made me feel more confident and she has inspired me to take more courses in math.

I took Cal2 +Cal 3 with her. Her teaching is amazing, but it's generally good. Her language is always clear and concise. She loves taking questions and will definitely find the best way to answer them. The exams are tricky sometimes, but if you prepare carefully, you'll do good. She's also an easy grader. She's caring and inspirational. Love her!

Professor Sidman is a wonderful professor. She knows what she is talking about and is able to relay this information to anyone. She teaches well and makes sure students understand the material before moving on. The only negative thing I have to say is that she wasn't available outside of class and that I didn't always feel welcome in her office.

Comment:

Prof Sidman was one of my favorite teachers this semester. She is incredibly encouraging, and seems to really care about her students. She clearly outlines proofs in class to help students understand why a certain process is done- stresses conceptual learning. I'd recommend reading the textbook chapters before class, though the textbook is awful!

Really sweet lady, encourages questions. I thought the workload was very manageable/well structured--there are weekly problem sets and quizzes, so you know exactly what to expect as long as you budget your time. The textbook is useless and confusing, but needed for HW problems. Not the best math teacher I've ever had, but no where near the worst.
