Comment:

Sarah's class was fairly easy. Attendance is mandatory and you'll have homework to complete every day. The entire class is devoted to one research paper over a topic you get to pick. She's an easy grader when it comes to your homework, final paper, and web presentation. You get a chance to revise the big assignments for a better grade too.

This class is a LOT of work. Your main goal is to write a research paper, but Sarah includes so many activities per day its hard to get everything done. I went home almost every night with homework. When shes explaining what is due that day sometimes its hard to understand exactly what is due. She is good about extending deadlines if nec.

Sarah is such a lovely person. If you have the chance to have her as your professor, do so. She has in class assignments that are all on Word documents everyday, but they aren't terrible. She allows you to rewrite the larger papers for a better score and she completely understands when life gets in the way. I absolutely recommend taking her class.

Sarah is by far the nicest professor I've ever had. She is a funny older British woman. She really cares about you and you can talk to her whenever. However, she gives tons of class work, and missing a couple days can put you far behind. She's really good about putting assignments on Pilot so you can work from home.

Mrs. McGinley was a very nice person and a great teacher. Her class is full of busy work which can be annoying. Also, get the book because her quizzes will have questions straight from the book. The worst thing about her is she takes FOREVER to grade papers. Would take her again.

Sarah is an awesome prof. She is super nice and willing to help if you ask. She is very laid back about almost everything, as long as you communicate with her. I would definitely take this prof again.

Sarah is great! Take her if you can!! Super helpful and wants you to pass. Lots of busy homework assignments, but they aren't bad. She tries to make the paper assignments as clear as possible, but her explanations can be a little confusing sometimes. She's really good with giving 1 on 1 help as well, which usually clears up confusion!

LEARNED ALOT!! This professor cares. Yes, a lot of writing and a big paper due but it is VERY manageable and it's given to you slowly. Everything is done in stages. She cares about how you're progressing and you are given time to redo assignments if you didn't like your grade. This professor is AWESOME!!

Sarah was a sweetheart, she made going to class everyday easy. The work wasn't very challenging and if it was she was there to help. A very good professor because she is caring, funny, understanding, and the list goes on. Very lenient.

I liked Sarah. She explained the assignments very well. What I didn't like about the class is it was filled with pointless little assignments asking you to do the same thing over and over. I felt like I was in high school with a substitute teacher. Just busy work. She takes FOREVER to grade anything. We got our first paper back 2 months after we turned it in. VERY nice prof. Spunky, pleasant, and you can tell she loves what she does. Stayed with me after class to explain what I missed when I was sick for a week. Flexible on dates. Only thing is that she's a slow grader. Three short papers, presentation, midterm & final= grade. Would definitely take again. Highly recommend!

This class is fantastic! My over-all grade in the class was a 99.25% If you have the option to take this class, do it! I took this because I simply loved fairy tales but S.F. McGinley made the entire class wonderful. She is the best professor I have had in any English class. TAKE HER!

Comment:

I loved this class! She did tend to rattle on for a bit, but she kept things interesting. She's funny and definitely an easy grader. Make sure you go to class because of the points she gives out for freewrites, though! But quizzes are taken in groups, and its open note and open book. Love her, would recommend the class to anyone.

If you have the chance to take Sarah McGinley, it's in your interests to do so! She is sweet, funny, and willing to help. I thought this class would be a nightmare going in, but not much reading required, and what is required is FUN. Please, do yourself a favor and take her class!
